The Duke and Duchess arrive for a reception at the State Governor House to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos.
The reception was hosted by Nigeria’s Chief of Defense Staff, General Christopher Gwabin Musa OFR, who invited the couple to visit the country, and the Governor of Lagos, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Below, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu greets Meghan.
Meghan looked radiant in a yellow Carolina Herrera silk gown that held deep sentimental value. She first wore the piece for Archie’s first birthday in May 2020. The gown made another memorable appearance in 2021 when Meghan announced her second pregnancy with Princess Lilibet.
Upon their arrival, Meghan received a shawl as a gift from the governor’s wife.

Now our look at what Meghan wore for the reception.
Meghan wore her Carolina Herrera Silk Overlay Column Gown In ‘Taxi Cab’ Yellow. The gown is from the Fall 2019 RTW Collection.
She once again wore her Aquazzura ‘So Nude’ sandal 105 in pink, $750.
Her earrings are the Jennifer Meyer large hammered disc earrings in gold, $3,250.
Her necklace is the Aurate collar necklace again in the gold – the yellow gold vermeil is reg. $700. She’s owned the piece since March 2015.
She also wore her Ariel Gordon ‘Hex’ bracelet and her Lorraine Schwartz, the Against Evil Eye Five Eye Diamond Pave Bracelet, $18,500. Along with these two bracelets are her staple pieces, Cartier Tank watch and Cartier ‘Love’ bracelet.
We also spotted her wearing the Birks Iconic Stackable ‘Snowflake’ ring in 18k rose gold and diamonds, $6600 and as well as the ‘Bee Chic’ in 18k rose gold and diamonds, $3850.

Harry had on a jacket from Loro Piana – cotton silk and linen jersey jacket, $2,350.

Hi Robin, I haven’t seen any in some time. Years back I knew someone who made dupes of Kate’s outfits and they were really good. I’ll keep my eye out and see. Sometimes people on Etsy have listings. Some of the designer pieces may be on Amazon or DH Gate. I’ve only seen items from other brands that are a close match. I hope to do a post in the next day or so and include similar styles for less. – Susan

I love her hairstyle and the dress is chef’s kiss! It moves so beautifully, I’m glad she let us see it in its full glory.
I’m so glad I saw video of her in this dress. When she moves it flows beautifully. But when it’s a still picture, the dress looks too huge, like she’s wearing a curtain. The color is lovely otherwise and the jewelry is a perfect accent.
She gets drowned in this design. That’s too bad.
