What Archie Wore
We’ve received a number of requests regarding what Archie has worn, including baby blankets and accessories. Below is a small number of items since his birth for those that are wondering what Archie wore!
25 September 2019: For Archie’s very first official engagement he met Archbishop Tutu wearing Bib Overalls, light blue striped, by H&M. sizes 0-9 months, $20 and sizes 9 months to 4 years, $25. The piece is from the brand’s sustainable ‘Conscious’ line and made of 100% organic cotton.
His tee shirt is unidentified (not the bodysuit seen in the product photo). He also wore a pair of Bonpoint Ribbed Socks.
23 September 2019: Archie arrived in Africa wearing an ivory beanie with a pom-pom attached and what looks like a navy blue sweater. We do not have any information on his outfit.
The blanket is described on the brand’s site as 3 layers of soft natural cotton with a hand block-printed center layer. It is 47 inches by 37 inches.
6 July 2019: In July we saw Archie again for his christening, this time he was in a replica of the Honiton lace christening gown commissioned by Queen Victoria for the baptism of her first child, Princess Victoria, in 1841.
8 May 2019: For the official photocall with his parents, Archie wore a hat by GH Hurt & Son, the Cashmere Baby Hat ($115). It is 100% cashmere, accented with fine rib edging.
The blanket Archie was wrapped in is also by GH Hurt & Son. It’s their Ivory White Leaves and Flowers Baby Shawl ($172), a 100% merino wool style finished with a delicate shell-stitched edging. It is also completely lined. The piece takes three days to create in the firm’s Nottingham factory and eight different people are involved in making the shawl.
