Meghan marked this Mother’s Day with a heartfelt and beautifully understated post on Instagram — one that resonated deeply with followers around the world.
The shared photo captures Meghan from behind, standing on the patio of her Montecito home, holding her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, on each hip. Dressed in a cozy, camel-colored two-piece sweatsuit, Meghan exudes warmth and comfort, embodying the essence of motherhood. Archie, in a white pajama set, and Lilibet, wearing a floral white and pink nightgown, appear visibly grown up, their red and auburn hair catching the sunlight.

This intimate portrayal offers a rare window into Meghan’s personal life, highlighting her deep affection for her children and the joy she finds in motherhood.
Meghan has always brought thoughtfulness, authenticity, and a deep sense of purpose to her role as a mother — and Mother’s Day has become one of the most intimate glimpses we get into that world.
Meghan’s approach to Mother’s Day has always been heartfelt and reflective. In 2019, she celebrated her first Mother’s Day with baby Archie by sharing a poignant photo of his tiny feet over a bed of forget-me-nots, a subtle tribute to Princess Diana.

In 2021, Meghan marked the occasion by supporting charitable causes, emphasizing the importance of nurturing and compassion.
Below, Meghan pops in for a quick hello during Harry’s promotional trailer for AppleTV’s The Me You Can’t See. In the clip, Meghan is wearing a t-shirt from London-based lifestyle brand, Mère Soeur. You can read more about it in my post here.

In honor of Mother’s Day 2023, long time friend Kelly McKee Zajfen, co-founder of Alliance of Moms shared a photo of her and Meghan on Instagram. Meghan was sporting the organization’s Community Motherhood shirt as part of a campaign to support “LA’s expectant and parenting foster youth, which helps provide critical services, education, resources and advocacy so they can build a better future for themselves and their families.” My post with more details on this can be found at the link here.

Last year, in 2024, Meghan and Prince Harry spent Mother’s Day in Nigeria, attending a basketball event. Despite being away from their children, Meghan expressed gratitude for the experience, acknowledging the significance of the day and her connection to the country.

During Meghan’s speech at the Lagos State Government House she said—
Today is Mother’s Day [in America] so it feels appropriate that although of course we are missing our children, I’m missing my babies, it feels very appropriate to be in the motherland and amongst family.”
A look back at some of Meghan’s precious moments with Archie and Lili.

Ahead of their trip, in April, her friend Kelly once again shared photos of her and Meghan, along with actress Abigail Spencer on Instagram, for the 2024 Alliance of Moms’ campaign #LoveLikeAMother.

This year’s campaign, feature the latest t-shirt to support the Alliance of Moms 2025 campaign, “Mama Thank You”. Meghan shared a photo of herself wearing the t-shirt to her Instagram back in March.

You can still purchase the t-shirt on the Alliance of Moms website [here]. All proceeds from the shirt — and the matching tote bag — directly support the organization’s vital work.
Here I am supporting this year’s t-shirt while at the Alpaca farm in Martha’s Vineyard.

This year’s Mother’s Day post stands out for its simplicity and sincerity. Meghan’s choice to share a candid moment with her children, free from grandeur, resonates with many. It reflects her commitment to authenticity and her desire to cherish the everyday joys of motherhood.
Now a Quick Look at What Meghan Wore in her post today.

Meghan wore her Brochu Walker – The Everyday Cashmere Bright Crew in ‘Bisque Mélange’, $398.

You may recall my post from a few weeks ago where I identified Meghan wearing the sweater in the behind the scenes video for her podcast. You can find that post here.

She paired the sweater with the J.Crew ‘New Soleil’ pant in linen – natural, $98.

Interestingly enough, I had been looking at these linen pants for some time now as I think Meghan may have worn the navy color in With Love, Meghan episode 2 with her J. Crew Baird Mcnutt linen shirt. In one of the scenes I was able to see a drawstring on the pants.
J.Crew ‘New Soleil’ pant in navy linen, $98 and Garçon classic shirt in Baird McNutt Irish linen, $98.

Below I show a screenshot of Meghan from the show that I’ve lightened up to show the details.

Archie’s pajamas are from La Ligne – ‘Enfant Bonne Nuit – past season and no longer available. Meghan owns several pairs of these pajamas in various colors.

Happy Mother’s Day!
I’ll leave you with this sweet video that Meghan shared in her Instagram stories last night.
Beautiful!♥️ Happy Mother’s Day to Duchess Meghan and moms all across the world! ♥️♥️♥️
