Harry and Meghan continued their Invictus Games Vancouver-Whistler 2025 journey with a spirited appearance at the Whistler Welcoming Ceremony today.
The event marked the debut of winter sports in the Games’ history, and the couple was there to support competitors as they took on the thrilling skeleton event.
Bundled up against the winter chill, Meghan looked effortlessly chic in a cream down maxi coat by Mackage, while Harry took to the stage to address the excited crowd.

Michael Bublé was there to introduce the couple.

With his signature humor, he kicked things off by thanking Canadian singer Michael Bublé for a lively introduction, joking, “Well, thank God Michael Bublé sang… Can you imagine bringing him out here and him saying, ‘You know what? I didn’t come here to sing…’”
Harry kept the energy high, giving a special shoutout to Whistler’s mayor, Jack Crompton, whom he playfully dubbed “my ginger friend”, before asking, “Are there any other gingers in the house?” The lighthearted moment was met with cheers and laughter from the audience.
Then came the highlight of the evening—Harry’s playful attempt to put Meghan on the spot. With a mischievous grin, he waved her over to join him at the podium.
From People — Harry teased — “Now she’s going to sing!” Meghan’s reaction? A horrified burst of laughter and a firm “No!”, shutting down any impromptu performances.

More from People — Before leaving the stage, she thanked the crowd warmly, saying, “Thank you, everybody. Have the best time!”
The couple then headed over to the skeleton event. You may recall last year when Harry took a few runs down the track himself!

Duchess Meghan looks chic & warm at the same time! I’m not usually a fan of long puffer coats but this white Mackage coat is gorgeous!
Meghan has proven it is possible to wear warm, comfortable and chic Winter wear. I’m taking the style tips and improving my cold weather gear.
Hi Gail – I’m working on putting together a post about less expensive pieces to get Meghan’s look. Should have that published in a day or so.
🙂 – Thanks, Susan
Thank you! I’m looking forward to reading and pouring over the pics.
Thank you so much for having a positive space about Meghan. I absolutely love her style and love your breakdown of each piece.
Was wondering where that lovely artist that drew all of her style choices. She is amazing.
My mom had a similar very long LL Bean white puffer coat when she lived in Boston for the later part of her career to combat the well known wind tunnels during the winter! I think it was even longer than Meghan’s and I used to make fun of it haha. Love Harry and his small joke on Meghan at the podium LOL. Now I understand why Michael Buble was making a joke about her singing since there’s a video of them leaving the stage and walking past him. Nice to see her gray coat again!
