Last week in celebration of International Day of the Girl, Meghan made a meaningful visit to Girls Inc. of Greater Santa Barbara.

The Duchess joined a group of excited tweens for a screen-free afternoon, where they engaged in activities like crafting friendship bracelets, coloring, and open discussions about their experiences online.

This inspiring event was highlighted by the announcement of a significant new partnership between Girls Inc. and #HalfTheStory, backed by financial support from The Archewell Foundation, the Oprah Winfrey Charitable Foundation, and Melinda French Gates’s Pivotal Ventures.

The initiative aims to educate girls on healthy and responsible social media use, aligning with Girls Inc.’s evolving mission to empower girls across the U.S. and Canada, which the organization has been committed to for 160 years.

Larissa May, the founder of #HalfTheStory, reflected on Meghan’s impactful presence at the event.
“We talked about what it really means to grow up in this digital age,” May shared, noting the vulnerability and openness that Meghan brought to the conversation.
Together with Girls Inc. CEO Dr. Stephanie J. Hull, Meghan and May led the group in visualizing their dream digital worlds—spaces where they felt empowered, rather than disempowered, by technology.

During the event, Meghan, Dr. Hull, and May engaged the girls in an activity that highlighted how social media can affect their emotional well-being. The girls waved emoji signs to express how they would feel in various social media scenarios, an exercise that sparked candid conversations about their online experiences.

Now our look at What Meghan Wore for the event today.

There is a similar shirt on Marie Marot’s website, the Erin in blue and white, $120.

Meghan’s jewelry consisted of a beaded necklace gifted to her by some of the girls at the event along with two friendship bracelets. She also wore a pair of unidentified diamond stud earrings, her staple bracelets and watch from Cartier.
Be sure to check back for updates.
She is glowing. Stunning combo, great proportions – but best of all, she’s radiant in her element!
Meghan knows how to make the old money look work without looking boring!
Meghan is true to her word regarding her charity work especially her goal to help women and girls.
Now this is a classic Meghan look, this just screams princess. She does wear white really well and the blue compliments it as do the brown shoes. She could easily have worn this on a royal tour and looked lovely. I really do admire the causes she is championing. as well and it’s clear the children love her and she’s good with them.
Also I really do love it when she has her hair down. She really does need to do that more often.
As always brilliant coverage.
Meghan looked so chic in her blue, brown, and white ensemble. Very old money/quiet luxury. While still keeping the focus on the event. She certainly loves herself a button up top and this one is gorgeous.
I love seeing Meghan & Harry do their philanthropic & charitable work. And I adore this chic, preppy look on Meghan. She looks great.
