Meghan was spotted in New York City on Saturday for what appeared to be a casual lunch outing. She looked effortlessly polished in a black coat layered over an Hermès scarf, black trousers, and black slingback flats.

Note: Illustrations are being used in place of the original photos of Meghan. You can read more about why at the end of this post.
Later that evening, Meghan was photographed heading to dinner with one of her William Morris Agency (WME) agents Jill Smoller. You may also recall that Jill is Serena Williams’s longtime agent and friend. For the dinner, Meghan wore a grey blazer, black trousers, and a navy blue fitted top or bodysuit, once again keeping her look sleek and understated.

A look at What Meghan Wore for her NYC outing —

Her outfit for lunch included her Max Mara ‘Lilia’ black coat, $3,038.

Her scarf is from Hermès — Eperon d’Or et Tenues de Jour shawl 140, $1,450. I’m almost certain that the color is mastic / naturel / multicolore.

I am not sure which trousers she has on since we can’t see any details. These could be her Anine Bing ‘Carrie’ or something new entirely.
Meghan wore a new pair of shoes from Saint Laurent — ‘Anais’ pointed toe logo bow slingback flats, $875. This style is from a past season collection and no longer available.

She also had on her Heidi Merrick ‘Santa Barbara’ frame sunglasses in black, $225.

She was also wearing the Guzema Mini Sphere Earrings, $2850 first seen on Friday.

For dinner Meghan wore a jacket from Saint Laurent — double-breasted tailored blazer, $2,990 (no longer available).

Thanks to Ellie of Royal British Fashion for helping to find this!
Her top or bodysuit is navy blue and I don’t have any other details at this time.
Her pants could also be from Saint Laurent — wide-leg tailored trousers, $805. I’ve seen quite a few styles and from the little bit of detail I can see in photos these were the closest match so far.

Once again she wore her Giorgio Armani Velvet court shoes with an asymmetric top line, $895.
Meghan also carried her vintage Chanel camera bag style bag (similar below) first seen in With Love, Meghan season 2, episode 3.

I could not see what earrings she was wearing or the second bracelet she had on in addition to her Cartier ‘Love’ bangle.
Her earrings are hard to see and look different from what she has been wearing this past week.

UPDATE 10/13: She also had on the same bracelet she wore to the 805Live Concert a few weeks ago. I haven’t found it… yet! It appears to be a round or oval link stacking bracelet in gold with partial diamonds.

UPDATE 10/13: An additional photo of Meghan was shared today – again she was in NYC visiting Gloria Steinem at her apartment.

The Duchess wore a new coat from Anine Bing — the ‘Portia’ coat in oatmeal melange cashmere blend, $800.

From what I could see, she had on a navy blue sweater. Since I can’t see a lot of details I can only take a guess. It might be her Brochu Walker — The Everyday Cashmere Bright Crew, $428.

She wore her Hermès Oz mules in black, $1375.

Meghan’s belt is old – the Salvatore Ferragamo Adjustable ‘Gancini’ Belt in Black Leather (no longer available). She first wore it at the The New York Times’s DealBook Online Summit, September 2021.

Once again she had on her Heidi Merrick ‘Santa Barbara’ frame sunglasses in black, $225.

She may have been wearing the Guzema Mini Sphere Earrings, $2850 again.
Meghan’s Empowering Message for International Day of the Girl
Just a day before her New York outing, Meghan shared a touching moment on Instagram featuring a photo with her daughter, Princess Lilibet, in celebration of International Day of the Girl.
It was a heartfelt message that perfectly reflects Meghan’s long-standing commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of young women and girls — a theme that continues to be at the heart of her work through The Archewell Foundation and beyond.
A Note About Images and Privacy
You may notice that I’ve chosen to feature illustrations of Meghan’s looks rather than the original paparazzi photographs. This is a decision I’ve thought carefully about.
Beyond the fact that I’m unable to purchase the licensing rights to paparazzi images, I also feel that using those photos doesn’t always sit quite right. When Harry and Meghan spoke about wanting privacy, I believe what they meant was the desire to control their privacy — to have greater agency over what parts of their lives are shared publicly and on their own terms.
That said, I’ll admit I sometimes struggle with where to draw the line. Some moments — like Meghan out in New York for lunch or dinner — feel more like public appearances and not overly invasive. Others, such as photos taken in California while she’s on a school run with Archie or hiking with friends, feel much more personal and not something I’m comfortable sharing here.
With that in mind, I try to highlight Meghan’s fashion respectfully — focusing on her style and the inspiration it brings, rather than on moments that might feel too private.
I’d really love to hear your thoughts on this.
Do you prefer that I continue using illustrations for looks like these?
Or would you like me to occasionally embed social media posts that include the actual photos when they’re already circulating publicly?
And what do you think about Saturday’s images — did they feel invasive, or just part of normal public life for someone like Meghan?
Please share your thoughts in the comments below — I always appreciate hearing from this community.
A quick reminder that we will see Meghan on Tuesday this week for Fortune’s Women Leadership Summit. The event begins around noon.
I think that it would be fair to show pictures of Meghan and Harry when they’re out in public, especially when they’re not with their kids.
Thanks L 🙂
While I understand your comments about privacy, I feel that since these photos are already out there on other sites you would not be in the wrong to post them here. It is impossible from a drawing to see what these clothes look like in the real world. I feel that since this is a site specifically dedicated to Meghan’s fashion, being able to see what the clothes actually look like is important. I don’t want to have to go to another site just to see them.
Hi Shannon, this is an excellent point. I think I may update my latest post with some social media embeds that show the photos and see how everyone feels but keep the illustrations in as back incase those social media accounts disppear, if that makes sense. Thanks! Susan
That’s a great idea. You certainly can’t depend on social media posts to stay constant. And I do love the drawings, I just need to see the clothes in real life! Love your site and stop by every day!
Privacy is, in my opinion, essential. So I completely understand why you don’t share photos when Meghan and her family are on their private time. The same goes for Meghan’s private outings.
Therefore, I appreciate the drawings made by Amelia Noyes which allow to freely imagine Meghan’s outfit, especially since you add photos of the clothes and the link to the brand. It is a great work from both of you ! 👍🙂
I just want to add that I like the Carré d’Hermès and still the earrings from Guzema !
Hi Anna, Thank you so much for your kind feedback. I see so many accounts just sharing the photos – and I admit I will sometimes retweet or share them in my Instagram stories. However I never share the articles or where they came from because I refuse to promote the clickbait tabloids. I also don’t want to risk losing my site or my social media accounts because I’ve used copyrighted photos without a license. The tabloid photographers will shut down accounts so fast! I’ve seen it so many times and people don’t understand why their accounts were suspended. Thanks, Susan
I like the drawings. You’re still linking the actual items. I appreciate your intention to honor Meghan’s right to privacy while still maintaining your website. I wish more people were as thoughtful as you in their MM commentary/posting.
Hi Marilyn, Thank you so much for your feedback. – Susan
I agree. I like this approach. Good call.
Thanks Gail! 🙂 – Susan
Translation:
Like you, I think the Sussexes just want to keep control of their image, especially when it could cause them harm… So you’re right to respect boundaries.
But specifically regarding public photos of the Sussexes without the children when they’re out in public, my opinion is that it wouldn’t be unkind to occasionally publish their photos when they’re already circulating publicly, especially since, coming from you, it always comes from a well-intentioned perspective.
Thank you, and have a nice day.
Hi Ghilou, Thank you so much for your feedback. This is helpful! – Susan
Bonjour Ghilou, merci beaucoup pour ton retour. C’est très utile! – Susan
