Yesterday Harry and Meghan Markle attended the George Zajfen Tennis Tournament in Los Angeles, a charity event benefiting the Alliance for Children’s Rights.

The tournament, which featured a round-robin doubles competition and a luncheon, has been held annually for more than 20 years, but was recently renamed to honor Georgie, who tragically passed away at the age of nine from a viral illness. This year, funds raised during the event will support foster children through the Alliance for Children’s Rights, a nonprofit that provides “free legal services and advocacy for caregivers, adoptive parents, and children and teens in L.A.’s foster care system,” as Zajfen previously shared in a PEOPLE essay.

The Archewell Foundation, along with Harry and Meghan, were sponsors of the event.

In a heartfelt message from the Zajfen family, Kelly Zajfen expressed her deep gratitude, sharing on Instagram —
Harry and Meghan, you have been such a guiding light for our family not just In the way you have shown up in friendship but how you have shown up through the incredible work The Archewell Foundation does everyday. I’m in awe of your commitment to community and to friendship. On behalf of the Alliance for Children’s Rights, we thank you. On behalf of our family, we love you.“
Kelly continued acknowledging Prince Harry’s birthday (which is today) —
Extra special day too…HAPPY 40th Birthday H! ✨ May this trip around the sun be the best yet.”

The event was nothing short of magical this year, with a strong showing of love, community, and generosity.
Now our look at what Meghan wore for yesterday’s event.

Meghan’s dress is from Giuliva Heritage — the Edda dress in cotton and wool blend in ivory, $1850.

The tailored dress is a sleeveless halter-neck style in textured cotton and wool blend with a shirt collar, front mother of pearl buttons and pockets.
She wore her Aquazzura ‘Divine Sandal 85’ in brown suede, $795. The shoes are available on Farfetch for $689. She first wore the shoe while the couple were visiting Colombia last month.

Meghan’s bag is from Carolina Herrera — the Doma Insignia satchel in cognac (small), $1,580.

The Duchess also wore her Ray-Ban Classic Aviators, $180.

She also had on a pendant necklace. We’re thinking, from the little bit we can see of it, that it’s most likely her Ariel Gordon ‘Imperial Disc Pendant’, starting at $1770.

Finally, a very Happy 40th Birthday to Prince Harry… and a very Happy Birthday to my husband and “Prince”, Dave!

She looks great. Very California laid back style. I love the colour story of her outfit – it’s so Meghan coded. Also she has great legs so might as well flaunt them.
I love this chic, well-tailored, minimalist little white dress. Pairing with the light brown shoes and bag made it an extraordinarily lovely look. She looks great! ❤️
Meghan’ s look here is perfect for a tennis match. Very preppy. I love that the texture of this dress adds interest to a very minimal look. She looks beautiful and fresh.
I think Meghan went for comfort. This may be a dress that looks good in person but does not photograph well.
I think the dress is too boxy, pale and the heavily textured fabric does not flatter Meghan. She is tiny, but because of the fabric, it adds bulk that is not there on the small frame Duchess. She can look fantastic, but this was not one of my favorites.
I do like the color of her leather accessories.
Joyeux anniversaire Prince Harry 🎂
I jus love seeing them out! She looks very cute in this outfit and reminds me of her “Suits” days.
