Today marks eight years since Harry and Meghan exchanged vows at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle, and Meghan celebrated in the sweetest way — by sharing a collection of never-before-seen photos from the day itself.
Meghan posted two Instagram carousels, both captioned with a simple “Eight years ago today…” The first took us to their evening reception at Frogmore House, with candid shots of the couple on the dance floor and some very sweet kissing photos.
The second brought us back to the ceremony — including a glimpse of Elton John at the piano and some behind-the-scenes moments from their official portrait session. She also added an Instagram Story set to Wilson Pickett’s “Land of 1000 Dances,” which feels very on-brand for an evening reception flashback.
Meghan shared additional videos in her Instagram stories today of the family celebrating their anniversary.
On the fashion front — because we always have to talk about what she wore — it’s a good excuse to revisit two of the most iconic bridal looks in recent history. The ceremony called for a bespoke Givenchy gown designed by Clare Waight Keller, while Meghan changed into a Stella McCartney design for the evening celebrations at Frogmore House. Both remain absolutely timeless.
The couple are thought to be spending the day at home in Montecito with Archie, now 7, and Lilibet, 4.
