Today in Salt Lake City, Harry and Meghan attended the Sundance Film Festival for the premiere of the documentary Cookie Queens. The appearance marked their first time attending the renowned film festival, which is currently taking place across venues in Utah.
Below, Harry and Meghan with the Director of the Sundance Film Festival, Eugene Hernandez, Cookie Queens director, Alysa Nahmias and Amy Redford, daughter of the late icon and Sundance founder Robert Redford.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were present in support of the film and its creators, joining filmmakers and attendees for the screening and related events.

The documentary follows four girls — Ara, Olive, Nikki, and Shannon Elizabeth — as they set ambitious goals, put in long hours, and compete to become the top-selling “Cookie Queen.” The film offers a close look at teamwork, perseverance, and the early development of leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

During the premiere, Meghan was seen greeting the Girl Scouts who appear in the film, a moment that highlighted her longstanding connection to the organization and its mission.
Their attendance at Sundance underscores their continued interest in independent storytelling and documentary filmmaking, particularly projects that spotlight underrepresented voices and real-world solutions to systemic challenges.
Meghan grew up as a Girl Scout in California, with her mother, Doria Ragland, serving as her troop leader. She has spoken previously about how her experiences in Girl Scouts helped shape her confidence, leadership abilities, and early interest in entrepreneurship. Last year, she shared childhood photos of herself selling cookies, connecting those moments to her continued advocacy for women’s empowerment and economic opportunity.
Meghan’s statement about Girl Scouts and the film from last December —
“As a former Girl Scout myself, with my mom as my troop leader, I have a personal affinity for this film and am proud that all our conversations and collaboration have led to Archewell Productions partnering with this award-winning team to executive produce this incredibly captivating documentary,” Meghan said in a December 2025 statement. “When we first viewed the early footage of this documentary, it was immediately something we wanted to be involved in.”
She continued, “The creative point of view, the edgy yet humanizing tone and tenor of the directing and the glimpse behind-the-scenes into such a nostalgic and also modern tradition of Girl Scout Cookie season are absolutely irresistible.”
Directed by Alysa Nahmias, Cookie Queens was produced in partnership with Archewell Productions, Beautiful Stories, and AJNA Films. The documentary was screened in Sundance’s Family Matinee category and marks the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s first full-length documentary feature.

Now my look at What Meghan Wore for today’s appearance.

UPDATE: Meghan wore a black crewneck sweater – one that she wore when she and Harry visited the Squamish Nation in Canada, February 2025. It was never identified.

UPDATED 1/25: Get the look with these styles —
RAVELLA – Camilla Luxe Cashmere Sweater – Caviar Black, $375 / AQUA Cashmere 100% Cashmere Crewneck Sweater, $94 / Quince Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater, $50

UPDATE 1/25: We think Meghan actually wore a new pair of jeans for Saturday’s appearance — Veronica Beard — the Beverly Skinny-Flare Jeans in Onyx, $248.

That’s to O for suggesting these jeans!
Meghan also owns the Mother ‘Runaway’ bootcut jeans in ‘Not Guilty’ — the jeans are available in the color ‘black black’, reg $248 now $173. More sizes available here and here.

Meghan first wore the Mother jeans while in London, October 2017 and again for the Invictus Games Tryouts, April 2018.

The Duchess wore her Anine Bing ‘Hunter’ wool cashmere coat in deep brown, $900.

Meghan was first spotted wearing this coat while shopping in Montecito, December 2021.
It’s hard to tell if she is wearing shoes or boots. They could be her Manolo Blahnik ‘BB’ pumps in black suede. I hope to see more photos that may reveal what she is wearing so be sure to check back for updates.
I love Duchess Meghan’s chic all black look! ♥️♥️♥️
You know, I think the jeans here may actually be a new pair of Veronica Beard Beverly Skinny-Flare Jeans in Onyx. The style in Indigo was worn quite recently and was reccomended on her Shopmy in a paler blue too.
Hi O, That’s also another possibility. I’ll add that in as an option. Thank, Susan
I think Meghan could be wearing her Stuart Weitzman ankle boots that she wore at the Invictus Games Tryouts in April 2018. Her top looks like the one she wore in February 2025 when she and Harry visited the Squamish Nation during the 2025 Invictus Games in Vancouver.
Thank you Amy! I knew I had seen that sweater somewhere and I just pulled up my post from last year – it was never identified. I thought about her boots from Invictus – not sure. She is wearing them again today and I was hoping to catch another glimpse. – Susan
