Meghan was invited to speak at Spotify’s female-run employee resource group, Women@Spotify, today in Los Angeles.

The employee-led group fosters inclusivity and builds community. Meghan spoke at the event on feminist issues, wearing a shirt that had the message — “Women. Life. Freedom,” written in the Farsi.
Mandana Dayani shared some photos in her posts from the event today on Instagram. She is the Creator & Co-founder of I am a voter., a nonpartisan civic engagement organization and is also the president of Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation.

The Duchess praised the “courage” of protesters in Iran, who have been protesting since September 16th following the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini who died in police custody after she was arrested for allegedly incorrectly wearing the hijab.

Asked what she would say to men who support reproductive rights, Meghan replied: “Men need to be vocal in this moment and beyond because these are decisions that affect relationships, families, and communities at large.
“They may target women, but the consequences impact all of us. My husband and I talked about that a lot over the past few days. He’s a feminist too.”
Meghan continued: “And his reaction last week was guttural, like mine. I know that for so many women right now, there is a sentiment of despair. But again, we have to band together and not wallow. We have to do the work.”
Mandana shared this in her post on Instagram —
Women. Life. Freedom. Allies have shown up in so many forms over the past month since the death of Mahsa Amini. I am so grateful to work with incredible women like Meghan and my fellow Iranian colleague and friend, Ashley Momtaheni, as we continue to highlight the bravery and courage of the women and young girls on the frontlines of one of the most important feminist movements of our lives.

At an event today, Meghan spoke about the revolution being led by women and young girls in Iran, the courage and bravery they show every day, and their leadership and advocacy of basic human rights: women, life, freedom. As an Iranian woman who fled her home country in pursuit of these very freedoms, I could not have been more grateful for how she chooses, again and again, to advocate for women around the world. Proud day at Archewell, and especially for me and Ashley Momtaheni. #mahsaamini #womenlifefreedom
Speaking of Spotify, Meghan’s podcast, Archetypes, released another episode today. This week’s guests included Paris Hilton, journalist, Clare Malone and comedian Iliza Shlesinger. The women discussed the topic of being a “bimbo”, and how Hilton has been misunderstood by the public.
Meghan also spoke of her time on the game show Deal or No Deal explaining that while she was thankful to be able to pay the bills as an actress, the job took a serious toll on her self-esteem.
