Meghan brought her love of food, entertaining and Australian fashion to MasterChef Australia this weekend, joining judges Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli for a special challenge filmed during her visit to the country in April.
The episode, which aired on July 26, tasked the remaining contestants with preparing a dish “fit for a Duchess” using several of Meghan’s favorite seasonal ingredients.
Food and cooking to me is really a love language,” Meghan explained. “I think it’s such a great way to connect. It’s something that can feel sentimental and meaningful, and it’s how I show my nurturing and love for my friends, family and my kids.”
She also offered the contestants some very Meghan-like advice: relax, maintain a sense of humor and cook from the heart.
“There is a lot of pressure in this kitchen,” she said. “I don’t like to cook that way. I like to cook in a really relaxed fashion.”
Although Harry was not physically in the MasterChef kitchen, he still managed to make a memorable cameo.
During the judging, Meghan received a surprise video call from her husband, who was in Canberra spending time with veterans.
“Hi, my love! My husband’s here,” Meghan said as Harry appeared on the phone.
“What’s going on? Have I interrupted something important?” he joked.
Meghan explained that they were tasting dishes prepared by four talented cooks before teasing Harry about one particularly fiery entry.
“There’s a hot sauce that, well, you know me … it is so good,” she told him. “I think it might be too much for you. It’s spicy.”
Harry wished the contestants and judges well before signing off, telling Meghan, “All is well here. I’ll see you later.”
Watch the clip below—
I covered Meghan’s outfit details in my post back in April here. I’ll recap it below.

Blouse: Matteau – Long Sleeve Silk Shirt, $525
Skirt: Camilla and Marc – Caius High Corset Waist Midi Skirt, $650
Shoes: Manolo Blahnik ‘BB’ pumps in black suede, $895 – also available here
Earrings: Paspaley Opal Lavalier Pearl Earrings, $13,000
Back Home Among the Flowers
Following her recent travels, Meghan also shared a wonderfully relaxed photograph on her Instagram Stories Sunday showing her shopping for flowers at Lane Farms, a local outdoor garden center in Santa Barbara.

Meghan’s love of flowers has been woven through many of her recent projects, from the floral arrangements featured in With Love, Meghan to her As ever collaboration with High Camp Supply. Judging by that well-stocked cart, she was not leaving the nursery with one modest little plant. She had a plan—and possibly several empty vases waiting at home.
Meghan wore an older style rollneck sweater from J.Crew—J.Crew Unisex 1988 Cotton Rollneck™ Sweater in navy (past season style 2020-2022). I found a few on eBay from a seller in size small ($106) here. Another listing here shows M, L, XL available, $68.

You’ll notice that the shoulders and cuffs match Meghan’s sweater exactly. The newer version of the women’s sweater has drop shoulders (2025 version) and the men’s 1988 version now has raglan style sleeves.
J.Crew 2025 Rollneck™ sweater, $98 / J.Crew 1988 Rollneck™ sweater in cotton, $98

Get the look with this sweater from Quince—100% Organic Cotton Roll Neck Sweater, $50.

She wore her Anine Bing ‘Kate’ jeans in Clean Indigo, $250. Meghan first wore the jean for an As Ever promotional photo back in May.

She accessorized her look with the black velvet ‘Sestri’ headband from Dôen (no longer available). This is the same headband she had on in another Instagram post back in March.

Get the look with these options—
Velvet Wide Headband, $7 / Black high quality Velvet Headband, $13

I believe Meghan’s sunglasses may be the Blenders ‘Shadow’ in ‘Assertive Style’, $69. These are the same ones she was wearing in her pool side photo in my previous post.

She also had on her Veronica Beard Penny Suede Loafer in Espresso, $350. More sizes available here and here. These run true to size (I own them and they are a perfect fit!).

Meghan completed the look with her Ariel Gordon Royal Signet Studs, $395.

Invictus Games Heads to Korea
There was also important news from the Invictus community: Daejeon, Republic of Korea, has been selected as the preferred host city for the 2029 Invictus Games.
The Games will be held from October 6–15, 2029, and are expected to bring together approximately 550 competitors from 26 nations, supported by around 1,100 family members and friends. Twelve sports are currently planned.
Most significantly, Daejeon 2029 will mark the first time the Invictus Games have been held in Asia.
In a statement, Prince Harry said:
“Today’s announcement is a defining moment for the Invictus Movement. We are delighted to announce Daejeon, South Korea as the host of the 2029 Invictus Games and, on behalf of the Invictus Games Foundation, we are so excited to work together.
“As the first Asian nation selected to host the Games, the Republic of Korea represents an exciting new chapter in our journey to ensure that more wounded, injured and sick service personnel and veterans can benefit from the power of sport and the strength of the Invictus community.”
The Republic of Korea joined the Invictus community at the Invictus Games The Hague 2020 and has participated in each edition since.
Daejeon will follow the 2027 Games in Birmingham, where it will receive the Invictus Games flag during the closing ceremony. The selection is an important expansion for the international movement Harry founded in 2014, opening the door for greater awareness and support for wounded, injured and sick service personnel throughout Asia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
I love Duchess Meghan’s sophisticated monochromatic looks & black is my favorite color (proud New Yorker here, lol), so I just ADORE her chic all-black MasterChef look!
Considering the ratings boom Meghan’s appearance on MasterChef Australia caused, MasterChef U.S. and Top Chef would be smart to have her guest judge on their shows too.
Ohhh I just ❤️ Meghan’s earrings with her nice black outfit & her brown loafers. I’ve been “drooling” over her style for almost 9 years now & I’m so happy for this great page!
Meghan’s style is so modern, yet she maintains a traditional look & I think she’s by far the best-dressed female right now (followed by Sofia Coppala & sometimes Jennifer Aniston.)
I remember reading that she liked Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s style & I think she’s got the CBK vibe in her neutral choices. She fills that void for me. 🙏🌞🙏 They both had/have that knack for taking avant-garde & making it look classic! 🤩
Keep up the great work! 🙏🤩🙏 And thank you for the great coverage!
Do you know what ring she is wearing on her right hand in master chef?
Hi Lauren, that pear shaped ring remains a mystery! Thanks, Susan
Correction : Cookie Queens .
Translation: Meghan’s outfit on MasterChef was lovely; I actually liked the outfits worn by all three ladies.
I would love to see that show.
I’m really looking forward to your article, Suzan, about Meghan’s latest outing—dressed all in white—with the Cooking Queens team.
