In an exclusive interview with People magazine, Meghan offers her most personal insights in years, sharing details about life with Prince Harry and their children, the challenges of launching a business, and the excitement surrounding her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan.

For Meghan, life is a whirlwind of responsibilities and ambitions. On a quiet evening at home in Montecito, she was curled up in bed with 5-year-old Archie when he sleepily whispered, “Mama, don’t work too hard.” Meghan recalls the moment as “the sweetest thing.” Despite the pressures of entrepreneurship, she remains dedicated to her role as a mother to Archie and 3-year-old Lilibet.

Her lifestyle brand, As ever, has not been without its hurdles. The initial launch of American Riviera Orchard faced setbacks, including trademark issues, forcing a rebrand.

More from People —
“There are tons of twists and turns—even with the name,” Meghan admits. “I was figuring it out in real time.” However, she credits the journey as one of growth, saying, “I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also to be forgiving with myself through that. It’s a learning curve.”

Meghan also opened up about the deeper meaning behind the Sussex title she and Harry received on their wedding day.
“It’s our shared name as a family, and I guess I hadn’t recognized how meaningful that would be to me until we had children,” she explains. “I love that that is something that Archie, Lili, H and I all have together. It means a lot to me.”

For Meghan, the name is more than a title—it’s a testament to their family bond and their love story.
Her new Netflix series, With Love, Meghan, debuts on March 4 and reflects her passions for cooking, hosting, and storytelling. The show, which Meghan describes as “super joyful,” allows her to reconnect with the creative work she enjoyed before her royal life.
“My husband met me when I had The Tig, and I see this spark in his eye when he sees me doing the thing that I was doing when he first met me,” she says.
A new sneak peek from Netflix of Meghan’s show below —
While the show showcases her love of food and entertaining, it’s not a traditional “stand and stir” cooking program. Instead, it captures the warmth of real-life moments. “It feels as though we’re just spending time together,” she says, describing how she would invite the crew to try the meals she made on set.

Unlike Harry & Meghan, their 2022 Netflix docuseries, With Love, Meghan does not focus on royal life. Harry makes only a brief appearance in the final episode, but his support behind the scenes was evident.
“Whenever Harry visited set, he was always super polite and friendly, but it was clear he wanted this to be Meghan’s moment to shine.”

The couple is also enjoying a renewed “honeymoon period” in their marriage, as Meghan teases in the interview. Their Montecito life is filled with family time, from hosting playdates to enjoying simple pleasures like breakfast together.
“My husband and Archie both love fried eggs,” she shares, adding that sometimes, “you just put a frozen waffle in the toaster and call it a day. And there’s no shame in that either.”

Beyond television and business, Meghan’s focus remains on her family. She wants her children to see her working and understand her passion.
“I loved that my children were able to watch me working and see the balance of that,” she says.
With her brand set to launch its first products this spring, alongside her return to podcasting with Lemonada Media, Meghan is stepping back into the spotlight on her own terms.
“I see myself as an entrepreneur and a female founder,” she asserts. “And if the brand ends up influential, then that’s great.”

With her signature warmth and authenticity, Meghan’s latest chapter is a testament to resilience, creativity, and, above all, love. And as her friend aptly put it —
“It’s like your love letter to all the things you’ve loved to do… It’s ‘With love, Meghan.’”

Some of the food looks really good, healthy and attractively presented. I wish her good luck after all her hard work.
As for the People cover, as with the Vanity Fair cover in 2017; I think Meghan is far more beautiful than some of these chosen pictures.
Do you have any ID on the hat Meghan was wearing on the cover of People?
Hi Lauri, It’s Sarah Bray. I just haven’t had a chance to update that in the post. I’ll try to do that shortly. Thanks, Susan
