Meghan and Harry have made a triumphant return to Canada for the 2025 Invictus Games, an event that holds deep personal significance for the Duke of Sussex.
Their arrival was met with excitement, and Meghan’s heartfelt, impromptu speech at the welcome reception only added to the anticipation surrounding the games.
Meghan expressed her love for Canada, she told the audience —
We just arrived a couple of hours ago and I touched Canadian soil and I went, ‘feels like home.’”
She went on to recognize the dedication of the athletes and their families before pivoting to a touching acknowledgment of her husband’s unwavering commitment to the Invictus Games. Sharing a candid moment from their family life, Meghan revealed how Prince Harry balances his role as an involved father to their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, with his passion for the competition.
With families…the big rush in the morning and getting ready for school and packing the lunchboxes and making breakfast and my husband is in all of that with all of us,” she said, adding that Archie often questions why Harry is on his phone so much. His response? “Because it’s Invictus, I’m getting ready for Invictus.”
Her words were met with applause as she welcomed Harry to the stage, emphasizing how much the event and its participants mean to him.

The Duke of Sussex, in return, greeted the crowd with enthusiasm and admiration, setting the tone for an exciting week of competition and camaraderie.

While Meghan’s words captivated the audience, her fashion was equally noteworthy. True to her signature style, she opted for a chic brown dress by New York-based brand A.L.C. paired with classic black pumps.

Now our look at What Meghan Wore for last night’s event. I’m sorry we don’t have better pictures at the moment.
Meghan wore a brown dress from New York-based brand A.L.C. – the ‘Willow’ Pleated Midi Dress, $795, in rich chocolate plum.
She previously wore the brand in a post on her now defunct website The Tig, July 2014 and again on Instagram 2016.
We aren’t able to see much of Meghan’s shoes. The are a black pump, quite possibly her go-to Manolo Blahnik BB pumps. Her earrings were also hard to see however it appears she is wearing her staple Cartier watch and bracelet.

BONUS! Earlier this week Meghan posted on Instagram about helping a teenage victim from the fires replace her Billie Eillish t-shirt. In the clip she wore a sweatershirt with Lili and Archie embroidered at the collar. It is from the brand Club Chainstich based in California – it is the black crewneck style.

As for the fashion, it isn’t necessarily my favorite dress of Meghan’s but it’s in theme with her neutral color wardrobe and I can understand not wanting to wear a bright color and call attention to herself. She’s there in the role as supportive wife. 🙂
