In this post, we explore some of Meghan’s summer style, celebrating her chic wardrobe choices that are sure to inspire your own sunny season outfits.
Effortless Maxi Dresses
When it comes to summer fashion, the Duchess knows how to keep it effortlessly chic. Maxi dresses are a staple in her wardrobe, and they are perfect for embracing the carefree vibes of summer. From breezy floral prints to vibrant solid colors, Meghan effortlessly rocks these flowing dresses that are both comfortable and stylish. Whether she’s attending a garden party or strolling on the beach, Meghan’s maxi dresses exude a sense of ease and grace.

Stylish Straw Hats:
No summer wardrobe is complete without a fabulous straw hat, and Meghan knows how to accessorize in style. From wide-brimmed sun hats to trendy fedoras, her choice of headwear not only adds a touch of glamour but also protects her from the summer sun. With a straw hat perched on her head, she’s ready to take on any outdoor adventure while looking effortlessly cool.
Meghan has worn a lot of hats from Janessa Leone starting with the ‘Eleanor’ hat during a scene in episode 6 of her and Lili gardening at their home in Montecito. She wore the Cuyana wide brim ‘Ecuador’ panama hat in episode one of the ‘Harry & Meghan’ Netflix docu-series. She previously wore the same hat in chocolate in Montecito, October 2022. Next she wore the Janessa Leone ‘Sammy’ straw hat while out and about in Beverly Hills with Harry in July 2020. In May 2016 she wore the Janessa Leone leather-trimmed panama hat while relaxing poolside in LA during a filming break from ‘Suits’. She also owns two different Panama hats – the Maison Michel ‘Virginie’ white sewn straw fedora hat that she sported at Wimbledon, July, 2018 and the Madewell x Biltmore Panama hat also worn at Wimbledon and other numerous occasions.

Jumpsuits:
Jumpsuits are the perfect summer staple for those looking for an alternative to dresses. And Meghan proves that jumpsuits can be both stylish and comfortable. With their relaxed yet chic silhouette, jumpsuits are versatile pieces that can be dressed up or down. She often opts for jumpsuits in neutral tones, accessorizing them with stylish sandals for a complete summer look.
Meghan was seen in the Malia Mills ‘Montecito’ jumpsuit while out shopping in Montecito in October 2022. The Everlane Japanese jumpsuit, September 2019 in South Africa. In December 2014 she wore a Bec & Bridge jumpsuit to an Art Basel event in Miami.

Meghan’s summer style is a celebration of effortless elegance. From flowing maxi dresses to playful prints and stylish straw hats, she embraces the carefree spirit of the season with grace and confidence. By adding jumpsuits, accessories, and her signature radiant smile, Meghan showcases her ability to effortlessly pull together fun and fashionable summer outfits. Now we take a look at some recent sightings of Meghan and what she wore.

Meghan was spotted out in Montecito back in June wearing a sweater from La Ligne NYC – the Mini Marina Sweater in cream and cobalt, $195. There are limited sizes still available. The company has informed us that Meghan’s color-way will not be restocked but they will be adding several new color-ways soon. There is a navy and white version of the sweater that is available here.

I own this sweater and I can tell you that it runs true to size. I own the sweater in a small and it fits my petite 5’2″ frame perfectly. It is a cotton heavy weight sweater and looks great with jeans or shorts for the summer.
It appears her jeans are also from La Ligne – The Valerie Jean in black, $195.

She carried her Fendi medium iconic Peekaboo Essential bag, a piece we first saw in July 2018 during the couple’s visit to Ireland (below). The bag has been updated with a rose leather interior and is now called the Peekaboo ISeeU medium in rose black leather, $5,800.

The Duchess’ shoes are her Chanel black ballet flats, $925. She has owned the shoes for many years, as far back as 2016.

From what we could all see, her iPhone case is a Goyard design, however the only place we have seen this particular style is on Etsy so it may not be an official Goyard phone case but a look-a-like as shown below.

Back on June 30 Meghan was seen in Santa Barbara in shorts.

Her shorts are from Reformation, the Mason Linen short in Cafe brown, $128.

She had on a white button down shirt which were thinking is the Anine Bing ‘Mika’ shirt in white, $200. She has worn the shirt in the blue color-way, Summer 2020.

Her hat is the Janessa Leone ‘Michon’ hat, $267, in Bleach.

She wore her Lauren Ralph Lauren leather slide-buckle belt in brown and brass, $65. She first wore the belt in July 2022 during lunch with Gloria Steinem.

Meghan’s shoes are the Hermès ‘Oran’ sandal, in the Étoupe color-way, $700.

And finally, on July 4th Harry and Meghan along with Lilibet and Archie attended the local parade in their community, Montecito, California. A video from Rosewood Miramar Beach shows a quick glimpse of Meghan and Lilibet. Below is the video from Rosewood Miramar Beach (part of Rosewood Hotels).
Meghan is wearing what we think is her Boden striped pants, which we first saw last June for Lili’s birthday at Frogmore. The pants are past season and no longer available.

It appears that she may have been wearing her staple Valentino rock stud sunglasses.

These next pieces are purely suggestion only, but she appears to be wearing a white button down shirt of which she owns several versions. We take a look at her collection below.

In other news, there have been quite a few rumors and announcements as of late regarding Meghan’s podcast, Archetypes.
Archewell and Spotify have agreed to part ways regarding Meghan’s award-winning podcast, Archetypes. Spotify has been in the process of changing their model with regards to podcasts. As a matter of fact the Obamas also left the platform and are now on Audible. It’s believed that the team at Archewell is shopping other platforms for Meghan’s successful podcast and we hope to hear some news regarding that soon!
As for Netflix, the company has confirmed that they will continue to work with the couple. The next piece coming out will be the Invictus Games documentary later this year.
We hope to have more news to report on in the coming weeks now that Meghan has signed with Hollywood agency WME. The deal includes repping the content division of Archewell.
Finally, as you may have noticed, we are now featuring illustrations by artist Amelia Noyes where we don’t have licensed photos to use. We are happy to announce that Amelia has officially joined the What Meghan More team! You can read more about Amelia on our team page here. You can also visit her site here.
Beautiful write up and collection, thank you
Oh I love the idea of the use of illustrations. This breaks up the monotony of just street images and gives an arty flare to the website. I’m biased since I am an artist myself tho! The illustrations are well executed and lovely. I’m very excited about seeing these used for reporting in the future! a+
Thanks so much Taryn! We’ve moved away from posting photos that we aren’t able to purchase through one of our agencies/photographers and felt this was a better way to envision what Meghan wore in a less intrusive way. Amelia is a fantastic artist and I’m very lucky to have her as part of our team. 🙂 Thanks, Susan
