The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have released their holiday card—and the photo they chose was taken less than two weeks ago!
The script of the card says “Wishing You a Joyful Holiday Season” and continues “From our family to yours, and behalf of our teams at The Archewell Foundation, Archewell Audio, and Archewell Productions, we wish you health, peace, and a very happy new year!” The card is signed “Best wishes, Harry and Meghan” with “Prince Harry & Meghan, The Duke & Duchess of Sussex” listed below.
The black and white photo shows a smiling Meghan and a grinning Harry at an event on December 6—the Robert F. Kennedy Ripple of Hope Gala in New York City, where the couple were honored for their efforts towards combatting systemic racism. Meghan wears an off-the-shoulder white Louis Vuitton gown, which you can read about in full in our last post.
Perhaps surprisingly, the Duke and Duchess opted not to include their two children, Archie and Lilibet, in their holiday card this year, though glimpses of both took place in the couple’s Netflix docuseries, the eponymously titled Harry & Meghan, which is now streaming in full on Netflix.

Last year’s holiday card featured our first look at Lilibet, who was born just that past June. That photo was taken by Alexi Lubomirski—who was also the Sussexes’ wedding photographer—at the family of four’s home in California. Harry held Archie while Meghan picked Lilibet up in the air.

The Sussexes have released a holiday card every year since 2018, the year they were married. 2018’s card was a snap from their wedding the May prior; 2019’s card featured Archie front and center with his parents behind him; and 2020’s card was an illustration of a photo taken by Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, of Archie and their two dogs at the time, Pula and Guy.

In other news, we will be doing a post with ID’s on some of the piece Meghan wore in the Harry & Meghan documentary. Please be patient as we gather all information together for that. Happy Holidays! – Rachel and Susan
New to site, so happy to have found. I keep H&M and fam in my prayers of continued blessing. Hello excited to be here.
I’m a bit disappointed but also not so surprised they didn’t add their children to the Christmas card this year. After having seen their side on the documentary, I now understand their side. It’s really too much of us to expect a couple who want nothing more than their privacy and to continue doing their humanitarian work like Diana to put their children out on a silver platter for our curiosity, as much as I do love seeing the pictures. Meghan is really growing into her Diana 2.0 role, with all her projects since their break from the royals. Looking forward to updates on the ids! Happy New Year!
She’s wonderful! I’m such a fan
Cannot wait to read your post with outfit ID’s!!!
