Five years ago today, Harry and Meghan welcomed their daughter Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor into the world at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in California — and royal fans everywhere have adored her ever since. Today, their little girl turns five, and Meghan marked the occasion on Instagram with two never-before-seen photos that gave us all the feels.
Meghan’s caption was simple and perfect: “Our dream girl. Happy 5th birthday, Lili 🤍”
It’s been such a joy watching this little girl grow up over the past five years. We first fell in love with her at her first birthday in 2022, when Harry and Meghan shared a candid snapshot taken by close family friend Misan Harriman — Lili sitting on the grass at Frogmore Cottage during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations, wearing the most adorable light blue frock with a white bow in her red hair.

Then came the sweet glimpses over the years: the rare family moments Meghan has carefully and lovingly shared on Instagram, always keeping Lili’s face just out of frame to protect her privacy.
Last year for her fourth birthday, Meghan posted two photos celebrating the bond between Lili and her dad — one a throwback of Harry cradling her as a baby, and another of the pair walking hand in hand along a sandy beach path near their Montecito home, barefoot and clearly the very best of friends.

For those interested, Meghan is wearing her Jenni Kayne ‘Riley’ trouser in ‘Safari’, $225. She first wore these during the couple’s visit to Jordon earlier this year.
She is also wearing her Cartier necklace and likely her Ralph Lauren slide belt.
Lili’s dress is from Cult Gaia ‘Lola’ dress (past season and no longer avaialble). She first wore the dress in As Ever promotional photos for the Bloom Box announcement.
In other news… We have an update on Meghan’s double collar shirt that she wore last month on her As Ever site. The shirt is the Valentino double collar style (no longer available) and the pussy bow tie appears to also be from Valentino. I did find the shirt here on the Real Real, size Small, $165.
