If Meghan is in her concert era, I’d say she’s nailing it with both style and soul.

Fresh off their date night at Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour, Meghan and Harry were spotted once again in date-night mode—this time at the legendary Santa Barbara Bowl for a James Taylor concert. And can I just say… excellent choice.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex took in the show on Tuesday evening, just a stone’s throw from their Montecito home.
Meghan later shared a relaxed, joy-filled photo carousel on Instagram with the caption, “In my concert era ❤️🎶 Thanks James!”
The couple posed backstage with James Taylor himself, who signed a copy of his book Sweet Baby James, a pop-up book, for Meghan. The one copy looks like it was signed “To Lili” in the upper left side. The other one may be for Archie if this is the case.

Below, a look at the inside of James’ pop-up book.

Ever the effortless style maven, Meghan wore a classic navy cashmere sweater paired with bold gold teardrop earrings from Bottega Veneta. Simple, elegant, and very “Meghan.”

It’s the second concert in just one week for the Sussexes. At last week’s Beyoncé show in L.A., Meghan and Harry were caught dancing in the crowd—she in a Carolina Herrera off-the-shoulder denim dress and Harry in a hat.

Now, about that venue…
The Santa Barbara Bowl holds a very special place in my heart. I was there with a friend in 2000 for a Sting concert (yes, that Sting), and not only was it magical—we happened to run into Pierce Brosnan. You know, James Bond himself, just casually roaming about, as one does in Santa Barbara. And if that wasn’t surreal enough, my friend and I ended up onstage with Sting. But—ah, yes—that’s a story for another time (and trust me, it’s a good one).
Below: a photo I snapped from our seats at the iconic Santa Barbara Bowl, August 2000. Top right: that’s me with jazz artist Chris Botti before the show. Bottom left: my friend Angie and me posing by the Bowl sign post-show. And bottom right—yes, that’s me again (in awe) this time with Sting backstage in Boston, 2001. What can I say? I’ve had some pretty unforgettable concert moments!

Suffice it to say, the Bowl is one of those rare venues that feels both intimate and electric. Set into the hillside with open skies above, it’s the kind of place where music mingles with the ocean air, creating a magical atmosphere. It’s no wonder Meghan and Harry chose it for a cozy night out.
What did Meghan wear? Let’s take a look.

UPDATE 5/15: CONFIRMED! Meghan is wearing the Brochu Walker sweater below as confirmed on her ShopMy page.
I believe Meghan may be wearing the Brochu Walker – The Everyday Cashmere Bright Crew in navy that she had linked in her previous ShopMy page. You can just make out what appears to be the exposed seam running down the back from the neckline, as well as the seam on the drop shoulder in the photo above, right.

Here are some options to “get the look” —
Naadam cashmere sweater in indigo, $182./ Quince Mongolian Cashmere Crewneck Sweater, $50

UPDATE 5/15: Meghan’s skirt has been confirmed as Bleusalt – The A-Line Skirt in black, $140—spotted today on her ShopMy page..

Last night, my best guess was that she might be wearing her trusted Anine Bing ‘Carrie’ trousers (which she also owns), but it turns out she opted for this chic and sustainable piece instead.
Below are some affordable alternatives to “get the look”.
Lululemon Modal-Blend High-Rise A-Line Midi Skirt, $98 / Banana Republic Crepe Knit Midi Skirt, $50 / A New Day™ – Women’s Knit Maxi Skirt (Target), $17

She had on her Bottega Veneta Small Drop Earrings in gold, $880.

She first wore the earrings while the couple were in Canada, February 2024.

You can find ‘dupes’ for these earrings on Amazon here, $12.

Earlier in this week, Meghan’s As Ever Instagram account a teaser was shared with the caption: “We’ve been quietly crafting something special… Stay close — we’re so looking forward to sharing it with you!” We’re expecting an announcement in the coming days about new products launching on her site.

My guess for some of the upcoming products? A strawberry spread seems likely—she’s been posting quite a bit about strawberries lately. More teas could be on the way too, especially based on today’s post. I’m also picking up a citrus vibe… maybe a lemon curd? (Yes, please!) And that charming basket in the teaser makes me think we might be seeing some houseware items as well.
Here is a look at the last three posts on the As Ever account and possible Easter Eggs. What I see is the tea, lemon bush and basket and finally the strawberries she’s watering in the last photo.

Here is a closer look at the lastest post.

The Duchess appears to be wearing what could be the ‘Lyra’ dress in the Tobacco color from Giuliva Heritage (was $2000 now $1600), a brand she’s favored before. While we can’t confirm without more details, the timeless silhouette and tailoring are certainly in line with her elegant, effortless style. There are limited sizes still available.

What I’m not seeing in the photo of Meghan is the belt or tie around the middle. In the stock photos it appears that it may be a removable belt.
Thanks to Mary of Meghan’s Closet Chronicles for the find.
In the photo with the basket, Meghan is seen wearing a classic white button-down cotton shirt. While it’s difficult to confirm the exact brand from the image alone, it could be the Giuliva Heritage ‘Celia’ shirt in white, $690.

Finally, Saint Jane beauty was kind enough to gift me some of their products including the lip oils that Meghan loves.

I also received their new skincare product, the Rich Rescue Phyto Mucin Cream ($45), a vegan snail mucin cream that delivers elasticity, plumping and anti-aging benefits. It is Korean formulated from Yam Root combined with Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid and Sacred Lotus to target fine lines, stimulate collagen and improve skin elasticity.

So far I am loving this new cream. I combine it with my skincare routine at night and in the mornings. I’ll circle back after I’ve used it for a few weeks and let you know the results!
I also received their Luxury Sun Ritual Pore Smoothing Sunscreen SPF 30, $38. This is a product I’ve been using for the past year or two and love it!

The two Luxury Lip Shine’s I received are in the shades Elixir and Nectar, $28 each. I believe Meghan uses the Tonic shade.

These are both great alone or over the lip stains I like to wear.
Also, from now until May 26th, Tatcha is offering 20% off with code FRIEND25. Grab Meghan’s favorite Tatcha products—
Luminous Dewy Skin Mist, $49 / The Dewy Skin Cream, $72-$89 / The Serum Stick, $49

Duchess Meghan’s makeup & hair looked incredible at the concert! She looked like a dainty doll! Her concert outfit wasn’t my favorite though. I think she should’ve either worn either a more fitted shirt w/ the wide leg pants or fitted jeans/pants with the baggier sweater. Definitely not the baggy sweater & wide leg pants together.
Votre excitation est palpable en 2000 au concert de Sting. Heureuse pour vous.
La robe Lyra est magnifique, j’ai une robe qui s’en approche, vraiment magnifique.
On reste en attente de vos retours sur les produits Saint Jane…
