In the best 65 seconds of our morning, we listened to the trailer, released today, for “Archetypes,” the new podcast from Archewell Audio hosted by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex
The podcast’s title is a play on the name of Meghan and Prince Harry’s nonprofit Archewell and will be a place “where we dissect, explore, and subvert the labels that try to hold women back,” Meghan says in the trailer, released exclusively on Spotify.

Though no firm release date has been announced, we do know it will hit airwaves in Summer 2022.
This long-awaited update to the Archewell Audio feed comes after the Archewell Audio holiday special, released on December 29, 2020, not long after news broke that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had inked a multimillion-dollar podcasting deal with Spotify (more on that in our post here). In January 2022, the Sussexes released a statement expressing concerns over misinformation spread on Spotify, specifically about COVID-19; while we know “Archetypes” will be released on Spotify, it’s unclear if future Archewell Audio offerings will be released there, as well.

To say we are thrilled to see this project come to fruition this summer is an understatement. Meghan, long a champion of women, is now also mother to a nine-month-old daughter, making the issue even more personal.
