Welcome to What Meghan Wore! Our blog focuses on two main areas: covering Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex’s fashion and highlighting her charitable work. We encourage readers to share their insights about Meghan’s clothing, accessories, and style. Respectful discourse and healthy debate on her style are welcome.
Topics to Avoid: Over the years, we’ve learned that certain topics often lead to unproductive, politically charged arguments. Therefore, we ask that you avoid the following subjects:
- The overall cost of Meghan’s wardrobe, her politics, or her workload.
- Meghan’s weight or any comments that promote image shaming.
- Speculation about Meghan’s personal life, including pregnancy, breastfeeding, medical conditions, or plastic surgery.
- Personal issues related to her family, other royals, or her and Harry’s parenting of Archie.
Guidelines for Constructive Critique: There are respectful ways to approach sensitive topics. For example:
- Instead of saying, “Meghan looked horrible,” you might say, “I don’t care for that style on her,” or “I don’t think that is a flattering look.”
- Instead of commenting, “I can’t believe she bought another dress,” you might say, “That doesn’t look like a $300 dress to me.”
Fashion Critique: While you’re welcome to discuss the cost of specific garments (“that doesn’t look like a $900 dress to me”), this isn’t the place to debate the overall cost of Meghan’s wardrobe, as it often leads to political discussions.
Respectful Disagreement: Critiquing fashion should be done respectfully, and this applies to agreeing or disagreeing with others. Civil discourse ensures healthy discussion. For instance:
- Instead of saying, “I can’t believe you think that dress fits properly!” consider saying, “I guess we disagree on the fit.”
Additional Notes:
- Disrespectful, sarcastic, argumentative, or otherwise inappropriate comments about Meghan or other commenters will not be published.
- Please refrain from making the same comment repeatedly. For example, saying, “Her skirts are too short” over and over does not enhance the dialogue.
- We may edit comments to remove inappropriate text, with a notation saying ‘admin edit.’ If extensive editing is needed, we may choose not to publish the comment.
- Tone matters. Written comments lack vocal inflections or facial expressions, so if in doubt, leave it out.
Social Media: Our comment policy also applies to all What Meghan Wore social media accounts.
We strive to maintain a pleasant, respectful environment at What Meghan Wore.
