Meghan gave us a lovely peek at the Sussex family’s new chapter in the UK on Sunday, sharing a short video filled with countryside walks, muddy wellies, bike rides and plenty of family time.
The 35-second montage opens with Meghan and Harry walking hand in hand through the countryside. From there, we see what appears to be Lili warming her feet by the fire, Meghan splashing through a puddle in her rain boots, and the family enjoying the great outdoors with their dog, Pula.
There is also an especially sweet moment featuring Lili riding her bicycle while Archie runs beside her, cheering, “Go! Go!”—as the kids race down to a herd of what look like deer running across their path.
Later, Harry, Archie and Lili are shown fishing together from a small boat. The entire montage is set to Wham!’s wonderfully upbeat 1984 hit “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go,” while a British flag and red heart remain at the top of the screen.
It is warm, playful and refreshingly ordinary: children outside getting muddy, dogs joining the adventure and parents soaking up those everyday family moments.
A look at what Meghan wore—

Meghan’s jacket is the Cuyana Convertible Puffer Jacket, $398. The jacket is currently unavailable.

The jacket has removable sleeves allowing it to be converted into a vest.

Here are a few similar styles to get the look.

Meghan has on her Le Chameau ‘Jameson’ boots (no longer available). You can find them on second hand sites such as eBay here.

I couldn’t get a good look at her jeans or sweater. I believe she is wearing a turtleneck.
In another clip, Meghan is seen stomping in a puddle wearing a pair of Wellies.

She is wearing her Le Chameau Vierzon Jersey Lined Wellington Boot in Iconic Green, $300.

I don’t have any other information on other items seen in the video. Please check back for updates.
In other updates, As Ever shared a new photo of Meghan last week.

She is wearing the same pieces we saw in a photo posted back in June.

She is wearing a shirt from Australian-brand Matteau—the Fine Stripe Silk Shirt in Monaco Stripe, $775.

She is also wearing her POSSE ‘Emma’ Linen Midi Skirt in ivory, $320.

Meghan’s hat is from Sarah Bray—Wildflower Sun Hat, $200.

Meghan’s shoes are an older pair of Carolina Herrera—Insignia Leather Slingbacks flats in Camel (no longer available).

Thanks to my follower, O for the find!
A Little Personal Note: Learning Mah Jongg
You may have noticed that Mah Jongg (Mah Jong, Mah-Jong) has made a resurgence in popularity over the past few years (including Meghan who plays with her friends in Monecito), although the game is anything but new. The tile-based game was developed in China around the mid-to-late 1800s and was introduced in the United States during the 1920s where it became a favorite social activity for generations of women (and men). I remember my aunt going to play once a week with her friends, although at the time, I had no idea what Mah Jongg was.
Below, Meghan plays Mah Jongg with her friends in Montecito.

Even before Meghan featured the game on her show, I had started noticing it popping up all over my social media feeds. Three years ago, I finally bought a set of tiles with every intention of learning—and convincing my husband to play with me. Then the set sat there, patiently waiting. As these things tend to do.
The week before my husband returned to work at school, we took a ride to our county library and joined a wonderful group who taught us the rules and walked us through the game step by step. We caught on quickly, and I now join them every Tuesday to play.
My husband and I enjoy it so much that we also play on weekends. We play Siamese Mah Jongg, a two-player version in which you need to complete two Mah Jonggs to win. It is challenging, social and genuinely fun once you get past how overwhelming everything looks at first.
Naturally, I am now eyeing all the beautiful tile sets, colorful mats and coordinating accessories available. This could become a very expensive hobby—LOL!
If you have been wanting to learn, I highly recommend checking with your local library or searching for community groups on Facebook. You are bound to find a welcoming group nearby, and having experienced players guide you through your first few games makes an enormous difference.
Mah Jongg really is not that difficult to learn; it simply seems intimidating when you first see all those tiles and combinations. For me, the trickiest part has been learning how to read and use the official National Mah Jongg League card, which is updated and published each year. You can order the current card [here].
I have also found several reasonably priced starter tile sets, mats and accessories for anyone interested in giving the game a try, and I will link those below. Fair warning: the accessories are dangerously pretty.

Spin Master Games Legacy Deluxe Mah Jong Classic Game with Wood Case, $76 (this is the set I have) / Hobby Lobby Mahjong set (basic, lavendar or pink), $20-$27

I would suggest getting a neoprene mat – whch come in a variety of designs and patterns!

You’ll also need a set of racks. These also come in a variety of colors and styles.
Premium Mahjong Racks with Pushers,4-Pack Non-Slip Acrylic Racks, 4-Color, $25 / Wooden Mahjong Tile Pushers and Racks Set of 4, $53

Be sure to get a set of dice if the tiles you purchase do not come with any. You can find additional tiles and accessories on Etsy here.
Let me know in the comments if you have any questions or would like more suggestions.
translation: I’d love to get my hands on the “Emma” linen skirt by Posse 🥰.
I promise I’ll try to learn the ropes of this game.
Thank you—I can’t wait to read your article about Meghan’s tribute to Harry for his 42nd birthday in that lovely recent post.
Behind the veg basket in the As Ever Instagram photo seems to be a new pair of shoes. They appear to be a past season pair of Carolina Herrera Initials Insignia Leather Slingbacks in Camel.
Great IDs, as usual! x
Hi, Thanks! I didn’t even notice that. Are we sure they are the slingbacks because I saw the enclosed flats as well. Susan
I did see the flats, but something about the angles (and outfit) seemed more like the slingbacks. As part of the summer aesthetic, most of the promo material has featured a sandal / mule of some sort . Maybe time will tell.
Happy Family! Even the dog looks settled and happy in the new home. We moved recently and our dog was silently judging us the whole time wondering what was going on.
Meghan is a master at country casual wear. Harry looks great as well.
This isn’t a fashion comment, but my husband is irritated the As Ever apple butter has sold out. I should have purchased more when it was in inventory.
