Meghan kicked off 2025 with an exciting return to Instagram, marking a fresh chapter in her digital presence.
After stepping away from her personal social media accounts upon marrying Prince Harry in 2018, Meghan has rejoined the platform, much to the delight of her fans worldwide.
Her inaugural post features a serene video filmed by none other than Prince Harry, showcasing Meghan strolling along a beach near their Montecito home. The setting—a picturesque coastline—offers a glimpse of the relaxed, coastal California lifestyle the couple enjoys.
The account was created in June 2022. It was around August 2023 (see image below) when others suspected it was likely to be Meghan behind the account (I started following it around this time or just before).
It was in her interview with The Cut in August 2022 that Meghan mentioned that she was returning to Instagram —
Do you want to know a secret?”
Meghan, silenced no more, looks around, making sure nobody (who would be?) is listening in. Then the top-secret drop: “I’m getting back … on Instagram,” she says, her eyes alight and devilish.”
Accompanying this first post is Meghan’s new profile picture, a striking black-and-white portrait captured by her friend, photographer Jake Rosenberg. The image, taken on a Santa Barbara beach, portrays Meghan in a chic white dress with a simple v-neckline.
Meghan’s Instagram return coincides with the growing buzz around her brand, American Riviera Orchard, which debuted its Instagram presence in 2024. The brand has teased a future product launch, with handmade strawberry jam already gifted to select friends and family. Fans eagerly await the official release of these products, which promise to embody Meghan’s values of sustainability and quality.
In addition to her brand’s potential launch, Meghan is gearing up to host a cooking and entertaining show on Netflix. This new venture is part of the Sussexes’ multimillion-dollar deal with the streaming giant. In an interview last October, Meghan shared her excitement about their upcoming projects, emphasizing the importance of creating content that fosters community and emotional connection.
“We have so many exciting things on the slate. I can’t wait until we can announce them, but I’m just really proud of what we’re creating. My husband is loving it, too. It’s really fun,” Meghan said.
Meghan’s account has already grown to over 300,000 followers since her post this morning.

I am so excited for Meghan! She is starting the new year off right. I hope all of the fashion bloggers (myself included) are able to find an ID for the dress she is wearing in her profile picture.
