Last night Meghan made an appearance at the launch party for Highbrow Hippie, a new haircare line by celebrity colorist Kadi Lee. The event, held at the trendy Gjelina restaurant in Venice, California, was a chic celebration of friendship, innovation, and women-owned businesses.

For years, Meghan has credited Kadi Lee as the mastermind behind her signature chestnut brown locks. At the launch, she revealed how much Lee’s expertise transformed her hair journey.
I was using boxed dye when I met her!” Meghan joked to the crowd, eliciting warm laughter.”
Beyond their personal bond, Meghan’s support for Lee extends into the business realm. Announcing her investment in Highbrow Hippie, Meghan shared her admiration for Lee’s expertise and entrepreneurial spirit.
Kadi has a mastery of hair health, and her Highbrow Hippie collection is a perfect reflection of that,” Meghan said in a statement to InStyle. “I am so proud to invest in her as a friend and as a female founder.”
Lee, who credits legendary hairstylist Serge Normant for giving her big breaks, launched her Venice-based studio Highbrow Hippie in 2018. The new haircare line represents a natural evolution of her passion for beauty and wellness.
True to form, Meghan turned heads with her effortlessly chic ensemble. She wore a tailored top and trousers by Khaite, paired with elegant Aquazzura heels. Her accessories included delicate jewelry by Logan Hollowell, adding a subtle sparkle to her look. The Duchess’s glowing complexion was perfected by her longtime makeup artist, Daniel Martin, who was also in attendance.
Lee, holding a bouquet of roses picked from Meghan’s Montecito garden, posed alongside the duchess and Normant for photographs at the event’s step-and-repeat.
The evening wasn’t just about beauty—it was a celebration of community and creativity. Guests, including actor Kristin Davis and influencer Lauren Scruggs Kennedy, enjoyed a moving performance by a gospel choir, adding an uplifting touch to the festivities.
Entrepreneur Maya Brenner shared behind-the-scenes glimpses on her Instagram, capturing Meghan clapping alongside Normant and Martin as Lee addressed the room with gratitude.
Meghan’s investment in Highbrow Hippie aligns with her ongoing mission to support female entrepreneurs. This move adds to her growing portfolio of women-led businesses, alongside her much-anticipated lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard, set to debut in 2025.
Highbrow Hippie is more than just a haircare line—it’s a testament to the power of friendship, creativity, and shared vision.

Now our look at What Meghan Wore for the event.

Meghan is wearing a top from Khaite — Prim wool-blend bustier top, $820. The top is no longer available.

Her trousers are also from Khaite, the Marinta Pant in black, $1580. The pants are described as a heavy fluid satin (100% viscose).

She wore a pair of black suede Aquazzura ‘Talk To Me’ sandals in the 105mm heel, $850. Meghan first wore the shoe during the couple’s visit to Colombia.

We also have confirmation that Meghan had jacket with her (not shown) from Loro Piana and a bag from Victoria Beckham. We show two selections from both designers below.

The Duchess’ pendant is from Logan Hollowell — Call On Your Angels Diamond Angel Eye Coin Necklace, $2150. The pendant is engraved with Archie and Lili’s names.

Meghan had on a pair of gold stud earrings. It’s hard to make out the exact ones she is wearing. It’s possible that they are her Alexis Bittar ‘Asterales Molten Bezel’ Stud Earrings, $85.
