Happy third wedding anniversary to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex!
We start off with a new announcement from the Archewell Foundation.
The couple marked their anniversary today with an announcement that the foundation is building it’s next community relief center in India along with World Central Kitchen. The purpose of these centers is to provide relief and resilience as well as healing and strength for the communities in which they’re based.
More from the Archewell site:
Archewell Foundation and World Central Kitchen will establish our latest community relief center in Mumbai, India, which is also home to Myna Mahila, an Indian organization focused on women’s health and employment opportunities that The Duchess of Sussex has long supported.
The Mumbai location will be the third in a series of four Community Relief Centers that our organizations have committed to develop in regions of the world disproportionately affected by natural disaster. (Construction has already been completed on a relief center in the Commonwealth of Dominica; development of a relief center in Puerto Rico is underway.)”
In separate announcement made yesterday, Archewell released an update letting supporters know that they’ve helped raise over $3 million dollars for the vaccine equity fundraiser on behalf of Archie’s birthday on May 6th.

And now a look back at our favorite moments of Meghan wearing white!
As we reflect back on Meghan in her white wedding dresses – both her Givenchy and, later that day, Stella McCartney for their evening reception – we would also like to share some of our favorite moments of Meghan wearing white outfits over the years.
First up, Rachel’s Picks:
No. 5: Calvin Klein and Amanda Wakely, February 2019
While attending the premiere of The Wider Earth in February 2019, Meghan paired a white Calvin Klein dress with a white Amanda Wakely coat.
No. 4: Karen Gee and Zimmermann, October 2018
To kick off the couple’s tour in Australia and the South Pacific in October 2018, Meghan shone in white, wearing Karen Gee – an Australian designer – in Sydney and Zimmermann in Fiji.

No. 3: Theia, October 2018
This Theia dress Meghan wore in Tonga in October 2018 took my breath away. She donned the look while visiting with King Tupou VI and Queen Nanasipau’u – and, if you look closely, she’s wearing Diana’s aquamarine cocktail ring (which she also wore to her wedding reception three years ago today) along with the dress.
No. 2: Dior, February 2019
On tour in Morocco in February 2019, Meghan wore this stunning Dior gown with silver embellishments, which she paired with Birks diamond earrings and a Dior clutch. (Meghan also wore white Dior for Archie’s christening in July 2019. I loved that look, as well; it’s an honorable mention for me.)
No. 1: Line the Label, November 2017
I consider Harry and Meghan’s engagement announcement in November 2017 the moment when the “Meghan Markle effect” began. Meghan cemented her impact on fashion when this $750 white Line the Label wrap coat (renamed “The Meghan” coat) crashed the Canadian company’s website, selling the garment out within minutes.
Shop the look with these alternative styles from another brand Meghan favors, Soia & Kyo. The ‘Ornella’ lightweight wrap coat ($345) or their ‘Sera’ coat ($243).
Now a look at Susan’s picks —
No. 5: Maggie Marilyn blazer dress, October 2018
I absolutely love this blazer or tuxedo style dress for the couple’s engagement at Courtenay Creative in Wellington, New Zealand, Meghan wore a Maggie Marilyn ‘Leap of Faith’ blazer dress in white. Meghan kept it simple with minimal jewelry and black pumps. The dress could easily be taken to an evening look with some statement jewelry.

No. 4: July 14 2018 – Ralph Lauren off-white wide-leg pant, July 2018
In July 2018 the Duchess attended the women’s final tennis match at Wimbledon with Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge. For the event, Meghan wore a wide-leg pant in white from Ralph Lauren. I am a huge tennis fan and loved the fact that this entire look was a nod to the linesmen at the event.
Meghan paired the pant with a blue and white striped shirt also from Ralph Lauren ($128).
While the pant is no longer available, here are some alternative options —
(Left to Right) Ralph Lauren wide-leg cargo pant ($248) / Ralph Lauren Lauren linen pant ($62) / Ralph Lauren Lauren twill linen blend pant ($145)
No. 3: Amanda Wakely dress coat, March 2018
I thought this Amanda Wakely dress coat with a white hat from Stephen Jones was such a stunning look for Meghan’s first Commonwealth Day with the royal family. The navy dress she wore underneath the coat is also from Amanda Wakely. She looked fresh and polished from head to toe!

No. 2: Givenchy custom dress, November 2018
In these family photos taken to mark Prince Charles’ 70th birthday, November 2018, Meghan wore a custom Givenchy dress in navy and white. It reminded me of the Jaeger dress that Kate wore in earlier years. I can’t pass up on a versatile piece and this is a dress that can be worn for the office or a night out.

No. 1: Misha Nonoo shirt, September 2017 and Altuzarra jacket, October 2018
My number one pick is a casual tie!
This polished casual look from Meghan at the Invictus Games, Sydney Australia, October 2018 comes to mind often for me. The Altuzarra ‘Acacia’ jacket is actually a light grey but appears white in the photos taken of Meghan wearing it. I own a lot of blazers myself and pairing them with a black or dark jean, dressy shoes or boots is a top go-to look for me.

Altuzarra ‘Fenice’ jacket ($1495) / J. Crew Factory linen blazer ($79) / J. Crew ‘Parke’ linen blazer ($178) / H&M jacket ($50)
My other favorite casual look in white is when Meghan wore the Misha Nonoo ‘Husband’ shirt ($185) for her and Harry’s first appearance as a couple at Invictus Games Toronto, September 2017. I love how versatile this shirt is and have worn mine a number of times as a polished business look with black pants and more casually with jeans. I highly recommend this shirt for anyone wanting a shirt for all occasions.

Wow, these white looks are absolutely some of her best. Off of today’s theme, of course, but someday you should do a navy blue feature as well. That Stella McCartney caped dress–and the Roland Mouret sequins. <3
I absolutely missed that Zimmerman dress first time around. How did that happen? It's lovely–and the blousy sleeves were very prescient, as that's since become such a trend.
My favorite of these is obviously the wedding dress and especially the veil, which is absolutely matchless, but I also really like the Theia dress and the Dior in Morocco. Thanks for this great post!

What a fun retrospective!
I love reading “top picks”
The Karen Gee shift dress and the Theia gown take the (white icing) cake for me.
Both of Meghan’s wedding dresses were stunning, iconic and certainly counted as Favorites of mine. Happy memories!
Thanks for this post.

This was such a fun trip down memory lane! Thank you both for your picks.
Meghan really rocked that Karen Gee dress. Its lines are so simple and classic, but she wore it with such personality!
I was a little surprised to see the gorgeous custom Dior caftan from Morocco on the list, since I perceive it as more of a dune color. I definitely can’t complain from seeing it again! Breathtaking.
I ***love love love LOVE*** Meghan’s crisp, cool Ralph Lauren ensemble from Wimbledon, and it was a treat to see her Misha Nonoo oversized Husband top and Mother Denim jeans! I think of the Ralph outfit, with all of its masterful play with proportions, as the more formal version of the Misha ensemble. If you think about it, the Ralph is also an inverse of the Misha/Mother Denim pieces. The volume and color palette have been swapped! So fun. Thanks again!

That dress she wore to their wedding reception was SEXY. Lol. And she looked awesome in it with her newlywed glow. I loved her wedding dress too. I also liked the Karen Gee dress.
