On Thursday, November 18th, Meghan will appear on The Ellen Show!
In a sneak peek of her appearance, Meghan reminisced about going on auditions on the same Warner Bros. lot when she worked as an actress years ago with host, Ellen DeGeneres.
Meghan described parking on the lot to Ellen in the clip —
“What was always nice is that the security guards would say, ‘Break a leg! We hope you get it!’ So the drive in today was very different,”
She also described the old Ford Explorer Sport that she drove saying it had “a life of it’s own”. Meghan said the key on the driver’s side stopped working so after auditions she would park at the back of the lot.
“After auditions I would park in the back of the parking lot and I would open the trunk and climb in and then pull it shut behind me and then crawl over all my seats to get out,” she said with a laugh. “That’s how I would come to and fro.”
When Ellen asked if anyone ever saw her the Duchess said she would just play it off and say she was just looking for “her resume or highlighters or script”.
Ellen also brought up the Sussexes plans for Thanksgiving and asks Meghan,
“Thanksgiving dinner, will you cook?” to which Meghan responds, “Yes”.
Ellen also reveals that Lili is teething and here’s what they had to say —
Meghan said, “Anything to relieve that.” (reaching towards her face)
To which Ellen says, “Tequilla, anything!”
“That’s Auntie Ellen for you!”, Meghan says with a smile looking at the audience.
Meghan’s interview with Ellen marks her first daytime talk show appearance since she married Prince Harry.
You can watch the full interview tomorrow on NBC at 3pm ET.
We will have an updated post with more details tomorrow after the interview!

Now a quick look at what Meghan wore for the interview.
Meghan’s blouse is from Oscar de la Renta — the Balloon-Sleeve Embroidered Blouse, $1690 from the Fall 2020 collection.
The blouse is described as a silk/spandex blend blouse with palm embroidered long balloon sleeves and button cuffs . It features a crew neckline with a keyhole back and button closure and long balloon sleeves.
Thanks to Laura (@Japanese_Ginger) on Twitter for the find!
We’re not entirely sure which shoes Meghan wore. In some views they look similar the the Gianvito Rossi pair she wore for the Global Citizen Live Festival in New York City back in September. NOTE: We do not think these are the Manolo Blahnik BB pumps she often wears as the toe box appears to be too short in comparison.
She also wore a black leather belt with a gold buckle. We’re thinking it might be from Gucci with possibly their tiger head or another from Burberry with the fox. We will update the post once we’ve found the exact piece.
Meghan had on a pinky ring which we were not able to clearly see. At one point we thought maybe it was her Karen Walker ring (shown below) from the Australia tour. It could be an entirely new ring all together. We hope to get a better view of the ring during the full interview and will update the post.
Daniel Martin, Meghan’s makeup artist, has been back in Los Angeles and did Meghan’s makeup for her appearance although we don’t have any details.
Hair stylist Jason Low styled her hair using products from Highbow Hippie.

While Ellen isn’t the show it once was, it was so nice to see Meghan in her element being the adorably dorky theater geek she always was, but we never got to see when she was in the UK. The blouse and the cut out sleeves are not my taste, the sleeves are a bit too voluminous, but I absolutely love her pants! I didn’t know “fancy” jogger pants existed. So fun to learn about her audition days and hear updates on Archie and Lili. Her outfit for the “prank” was cute too and very in line with Meghan, monochromatic outfit and a trenchcoat. I did think the bit went on for too long but I can see why Meghan became an actress, her improv skills are great!

The blouse isn’t my favourite but it looks nice on her and she appears very refreshed and happy.
The pants are terrible. If someone is advising her to wear high waisted, pleated pants – please stop.

REMINDER REGARDING OUR COMMENT POLICY:
We realize we have a number of new visitors to our site and for anyone that may need a reminder —
we do have a comment policy which can be found here – https://whatmeghanwore.net/comments-policy/
Below is a portion of that policy –
“Trial and error over the years has taught us that conversations about specific topics almost always deteriorate into arguments with political overtones. WMW is not the forum for discussions on the overall cost of Meghan’s wardrobe”
There are constructive ways to approach sensitive topics. Saying, “Meghan looked horrible” is different from saying, “I don’t care for that style on her,” or “I don’t think that is a flattering look.” Likewise, “That doesn’t look like a $300 dress to me” is different from commenting that, “I can’t believe she bought another dress!”
While comments about the cost of a specific garment are welcome (“that doesn’t look like a $900 dress to me”), This isn’t the place for discussion on the overall cost of Meghan’s wardrobe; it is a topic that invariably turns into a conversation/debate of a political nature, her role and other issues.
Critiquing fashioning should be done respectfully; this also applies when agreeing to disagree with others. Doing so in a civil way ensures a healthy discussion. That doesn’t mean we are here to rubber-stamp Meghan’s style choices. Far from it. We are here to share what we learn about Meghan’s fashion and to hear other viewpoints on her style. Saying, “I can’t believe you think that dress fits properly!” is different from saying, “I guess we disagree on the fit.”
Disrespectful, sarcastic, argumentative or otherwise inappropriate statements, be they about Meghan or other commenters, will not be published.
In some cases, we will have time to edit a comment and delete the inappropriate text; edited comments will have a notation saying ‘admin edit.’ If we feel there is so much to remove that it will negate the commenter’s point, we won’t do any editing.
It is helpful to remember the tone of a comment can be as important as the content. This is the written word, and we can’t hear each other’s vocal inflections or see the expression on a commenter’s face. The “when in doubt leave it out adage” can be helpful if wondering whether or not a comment is appropriate.
We will work hard to ensure a pleasant, respectful environment is maintained here at What Meghan Wore.

I love this Oscar de la Renta blouse and loved it on her. I thought she balanced it out very well tucked in with the slim ankle trousers and the very high heels. She managed to carry it off even though she’s on the petite side. Not really a fan of the overly long hair but it’s the style now. and sort of used to it at this point. Actually I think this is the best she’s looked since she left Britain. We’ve actually seen her rarely full length other than the NY visits in which the only outfit I liked was the cream Valentino mini dress. Certainly different than the Oprah sit down that’s for sure!

I think she looks great and very relaxed. Black and white are her colours for sure. This whole outfit is something I’d wear from head to toe. It’s a wonderful feeling to me to see Meghan doing these things because I can’t explain how upset I was when I realized that being royal would mean no more candid Meghan and following a conservative dress code for the rest of her life. She had amazing personal style pre duchess and it’s so nice to see her getting back to it. I’ve always loved Ellen and since the “scandals” I don’t know what to feel. But nevertheless, she stuck up for H&M publicly and l will always love her for it. It’s a dream I never knew I had to see them together!

Unfortunately the blouse is very baggy and puffy. The sleeves especially, I like a more defined shape, sleekness. Hair styled in this way too long, and hanging, I preferred it shorter, it looked so good, around shoulder level. Black and white suits her beautifully.

I love that blouse. As someone else said, the sleeves could be less voluminous, but I would wear this. A lot. Maybe too often. It’s a good thing I would never pay that kind of money for a blouse. Lol.
Meghan looks genuinely happy and content and I’m glad to see it after everything she went through postpartum with Archie. I hope we get to see a fabulous Christmas picture of the four of them. I imagine Lili is as beautiful as her brother is handsome.

I like the top. Would like it more if the sleeves were a little less voluminous, but I appreciate the cut out detail. The higher neckline suits her. I like the color which is a more off white than pure white. Overall a good look.
Not at all a fan of this hair, which I presume are extensions or some other sort of add on(I can see where it wasn’t well blended with her bang area). There is just too much hair and I liked her hair much better when she stuck to her own hair just a few inches below the shoulder. I don’t think that she is comfortable with it either as in the interview clip she had to push her hair out of her face several times, in a very cautious way. If she stuck to her own hair, she could just tuck it behind her ears. (She wore her hair behind her ears in ? Fiji with a blue dress and I thought that it looked much nicer than this overly long style hiding her face)

She looks fabulous! Beautiful blouse. Black and white really are her colors.
Laura says
Perhaps it’s intentional to go with the slim dark pant, but she kinda looks like she’s drowning in this top?

Oh dear, this blouse reminds me of the puffy shirt from Seinfeld! Meghan’s hair and makeup look lovely though!
Laura says
Lol YES this is definitely reminiscent of Seinfeld’s classic “puffy shirt”!! Thank you for that comment, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it but you nailed it!!
