Yesterday, the Duchess of Sussex, Royal patron of the National Theatre, visited the Immersive Storytelling Studio in London.
The studio, which is a part of the National Theatre, is using emerging technology like Virtual Reality to develop new forms of emotive storytelling. The goal of this method is to “enable us to better connect and empathise with each other as people, regardless of race, age or nationality”.
Below, The Duchess speaks with Nubiya Brandon about her hologram and the project. Nubiya is featured in the National’s exhibition ‘All Kinds of Limbo’, which is currently being presented at the Tate Modern.
The two seem to be having a good laugh during their discussion.

Next, Meghan views a display booth at the studio.
Inside the booth, Meghan learns more from one of the studio members.
While visiting Stanford University recently, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended a virtual reality presentation that allows the user to experience life through another person’s point of view.
Meghan wore white for her visit to the studio.
Meghan’s blouse is the Topshop Organza Sleeve Button Through Blouse in Ivory, $55 (no longer available).
Her skirt is by UK based designer, Roland Mouret. It is the ‘Moka’ skirt in white, $995.
The skirt is also available in black.
She also wore a new pair of shoes. The Aquazurra ‘Mae’ pump 95 in black suede, $875. Available at Farfetch, $683 and Lane Crawford, $800.
Meghan’s bag is the Loewe small ‘Postal’ bag in black leather, $2250.
The bag has structured frame and a retro-inspired top handle with soft gusset sides that “evokes the form of a postcard through its rectangular dimensions and embossed stamp-like Anagram in the top right-hand corner”
The Duchess had on a new pendant today, the Sophie Lis ‘Love Pendant’, £280 ($364 USD at today’s exchange rate).
This pendant is inspired by an extract taken from the poem “The Eternal Song” by 19th Century French poet Rosemonde Gerard.
Car, vois-tu, chaque jour je t’aime davantage,
Aujourd’hui plus qu’hier et bien moins que demain
Translated:
For, you see, each day I love you more,
today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow
The pendant symbolizes eternal love and reflects the poem with a “+” in diamonds and a “–” in rubies —
I love you
More (+) than yesterday (qu’hier)
Less (-) than tomorrow (que demain)
10% of each sale goes directly to Wild at Heart Foundation which funds animal welfare projects all over the world. In particular, the foundation wants to “compassionately reduce the world’s 600 million stray dog population”. They do this by organizing rescue projects, neutering programs and education initiatives.
Meghan also appears to be wearing her Jessica McCormack ‘Chi Chi’ rose gold and diamond bracelet, $10,500. We first spotted her wearing the bracelet to last night’s Endeavour Fund Awards.
UPDATE 10 MARCH: Meghan wore the Edge of Ember ‘Wave’ earrings, $87. Pre-order the earrings now for delivery in early April.

Yesterday the Duke and Duchess attended a private lunch at the Goring Hotel in London. The couple were photographed leaving the hotel in this piece by the Sun.
In the photos, a beaming Meghan can be seen wearing a new coat by Alex Eagle. The wrap coat in dark camel, £1325 ($1723 USD at today’s exchange rate).
She also wore her Aquazzura ‘Mae’ pumps (shown above) and carried the Loewe ‘Postal’ bag (shown above).

Also today, the Duchess visited Robert Clack School of Science in Dagenham, UK. We don’t yet have photos from this event but hope to have some as well as information on the engagement a little later today. A video circulating on Twitter revealed a bit of what the Duchess wore for the engagement.
UPDATE 8 March: Meghan carried a Rejina Pyo bag at today’s Robert Clark School engagement. It is the ‘Nane’ cotton weave bag in ivory, £295 ($385 USD). The bag is also available at Saks Fifth Avenue, $395.
See all the details in our post about Meghan’s surprise visit to the school.

Simple but really lovely outfit. I admit after reading the name of the post I kept trying to guess which piece was Mouret and which was Top Shop…and I was wrong! Despite the different price ranges the separates complement each other even if they don’t match perfectly. It just makes the whole look interesting. The hologram stamp detail making the bag look like a postcard is so clever. Gorgeous shoes with the pearl buttons. And while I find the + and – symbols to be a bit cheesy in the pendant I do love the sentimentality behind the piece. Happy to see the side-part again, it’s so much more flattering!
Shannon says
The outfit is a miss for me the pieces don’t go together and i don’t like slits at the front of a dress/skirt!I like the dainty handbag and i love the camel coat it looks so comfortable.

For me this doesn’t seem like an outfit that can be worn in winter. It looks like she’s dressed for the wrong season.
Christine says
I loved everything about this look, spring like & perfect. White is great on her, the shoes bring interest to the solid white, & the purse is darling. Meghan has been looking her best, I like her clothes more this time than ever! She looks happy.
Maluhia says
Wow that blouse is so gorgeous! I am just in love with the sleeves! I think this all-white look is so lovely and feminine. I love it.
Rachel says
Laurie, I agree with you.
The pieces are lovely, but just not together.
The blouse is so beautiful I could see Meaghan wearing this with jeans and rocking it!
Jessica says
Really pretty. I love the white-on-white effect, and the gauzy sleeves are elegant and whimsical at the same time.
I love the coat, too. Any pics of her wearing it?

Hi Jessica – we are unable to obtain any copyright photos of Meghan in the coat from any of our photo agencies. The photos were taken by a photographer at The Sun. I did include a link to the article that shows the photos of her in the coat if you would like to click and view them. Thanks, Susan C.

She looks ethereal in this white ensemble. I love the interplay of textures, and the floaty blouse grounded but the streamlined skirt is so chic.
And those shoes! How delightfully stylish!
She’s so beautiful and elegant, and her warmth really shines through in all the photos.
Ava Pittman says
This is a nice soft, feminine ensemble. Love the shoes and bag. The subtle, delicate pieces of jewellery are a nice addition.
Louise says
Like the blouse and skirt but agree with another poster that she is wearing the skirt too high at the waist as we see from the designer photos that it is meant to be worn lower. The higher fit is not flattering.
Agree that the shoes are too dainty and dressy for a day time event. The tiny purse is just silly.
I’m not sure why she bought another camel wrap coat when she already has a nicer one from either Sentaler or Line (cannot remember which designer).
Rhiannon Frater says
I love this look. It’s so dreamy and elegant. Very princessy.
Laura says
I love this bright all-white outfit! To me, this is one of her top 10 looks. 🙂
The Topshop blouse looks heavenly paired with the heavier texture of the pencil skirt. I have loved Meghan’s all white outfits in the past, like her white Dior dress for Archie’s christening, and the floaty white Zimmerman dress she wore in Fiji. There was also that slim sheath dress Meghan wore on her first day in Sydney, Australia after announcing their pregnancy. Bright white always looks great on her, very crisp, clean and elegant.
Some of her attempts, like the white blouse and Hugo Boss skirt, or the white Ralph Lauren pants and white striped shirt, when she mixes white with off-white or cream, don’t quite work, but overall, I think white’s her color 🙂
I’m not a fan of the shoes, though. I’ve never been a fan of strappy stilettos especially in the daytime, or for work/professional functions. However, minor quibble.
Ava says
I think a better choice would have been the white blouse with the black skirt, instead of the white skirt. Hard to get 2 ‘whites’ of colored fabric to go together, although they are both white, there are hundreds of colors of white. The contrast would have been better. THat is what I always do in designing interiors of homes, instead of trying to match up color, go a complete different color and it works out better.
She looks happy, and I am happy for her. Love the shoes, I don’t think her bag is worth the $2200.00 price tag, she could easily find that silhouette in a less expensive price tag.
Loved her aqua dress the night before- she stood out from the crowd beautifully.
Hope to see more of her soon.
Lindsay says
I’m so happy to see what she was wearing under her camel coat. I love that blouse and was thrilled to find it at Nordstrom. I like the skirt, but maybe not with the top. I agree with Meghan that a more structured skirt worked better with the airy top, but I would have chosen a more spring like fabric. The Mouret with the brocade-like fabric read winter to me, even though it is a white skirt. I’m in the minority, but I don’t care for those shoes. On the whole though a very fresh springtime look!
Her hair and makeup are stunning. She looks beautiful!
Laurie says
Oh dear. After yesterday’s stunner, my expectations were high. This isn’t working for me at all. The two pieces don’t seem to go together and the silhouette is not working on her frame. The puffed sleeves and light airy top doesn’t work with the heavy almost brocade-like fitted skirt.
The skirt also seems to be too high, making her look very wide in the waist. The shoes are nice, the bag is nice. But none of the pieces really seem to compliment each other.
Melanie says
I agree, it’s a hash of an outfit. The sheer puffed sleeves are both too juvenile and not a good look for winter. The shoes are pretty but for evening, not daytime. The necklace is a cute concept in theory, but not very prettily executed.
