Last night, Meghan made an appearance on CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute. The Duchess honored the people working to feed those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In the pre-recorded two-minute clip, seated outside of her Montecito home, Meghan praised communities for coming together to help support their neighbors.
The Duchess began,
In a year that has been universally challenging for everyone, I’m inspired by the stories of compassion in our communities. Across the country, people have put their own needs aside to come together and support the collective well-being of those around them.”
She continued —
Back in March, the COVID-19 crisis hit hard, and overnight, everything seemed to change. For many families, the impact of the pandemic has been catastrophic, and far too many were faced with a heartbreaking question: How am I going to put food on the table for my family? But in the face of this devastating reality, we also saw the power of the human spirit and the remarkable ways that communities respond in challenging times.
“We saw the good in people, in our neighbors, and in entire communities coming together to say they would not stand by while our neighbors went hungry. We saw communities standing up and taking action. When kids’ lunch programs came to a halt, we saw our neighbors make sure that those children received the nutrition they need. And when those who are immunocompromised or most vulnerable couldn’t leave their homes, we as a community showed up to deliver the food they needed to their doorsteps.”

Meghan went on to highlight those who helped children, and people who were shielding.
“We know the value of food as nourishment, as a life source, and in moments of crisis, the warmth of a meal can feel as comforting as a much-needed hug, especially in the absence of human contact due to the social distancing we’re all experiencing,” Meghan explained. “These moments reminded so many that they’re cared for.”
The Duchess concluded —
Tonight, we are celebrating these quiet heroes, some of whom I know and others that we applaud from afar. These individuals stood up and made sure the most basic needs of our communities were met. They made sure that those around them did not have to suffer in isolation. They nourished their neighbors in more ways than one. And they showed us, all of us, that even in the darkest times, when we come together, we have the power to remind someone else that there is hope and that we will be okay.”

We now take a look at what Meghan wore for her appearance.

The Duchess wore a tie-neck blouse in a blush or champagne color. We have not yet found the exact blouse. We will update the post if the blouse is identified.
Tory Burch offers a similar style shown below. The silk tie-neck blouse in new ivory, $298.
Meghan also wore her Catherine Zoraida Gold Swallow Stud Earrings, $158. We first saw the Duchess wear the earrings in January 2020 when the couple were visiting Canada House in London.
The earrings are 18ct gold plated silver (eco silver). The length of swallow from tip of tail to tip of beak is 10mm.
The design is part of a collaboration Catherine Zoraida has done with the RSPB (Royal Society for the Protection of Birds); 10% of proceeds from sales go to the charity.
She also had on her Cartier ‘Love’ bangle bracelet in gold, a piece we’ve seen her wear often.
Meghan also wore a new bracelet which we have not seen before. It appears to be a gold beaded style. I thought I had spotted small diamonds on the bracelet at one point in the video clip, I could be wrong though. We will update the post when we have more information.

I don’t like the blouse style at all but the color looks gorgeous on her. She’s a beautiful woman for sure.

What a wonderful tribute from Meghan in helping put a spotlight on the unsung heroes of COVID-19. There are so many of them and for most of them we will never know their names. Her public speaking skills continue to astonish me. I know she comes from an actor background but not all actors are that good at public speaking!
As for her outfit, I don’t love that blouse on her. It’s so high-necked and looks so stifling, though I find interesting she didn’t tie the ties in a bow like most people would. Love her purple toned makeup and she clearly chose it to match the beautiful flowers in the background. What a lovely garden! As for the oat-milk coffee startup, I kind of laughed when I saw the announcement because oat milk is such a huge fad right now and it is definitely a product Meghan would have featured on The Tig if she still had her blog. What a power move to have Oprah endorse it for her. And now she and Harry have a Spotify deal in addition to Netflix, they’re basically building a media empire!
