Meghan and Harry were spotted out in LA Friday afternoon. The Duchess wore a white linen dress by MagicLinen — the ‘Toscana’ asymmetrical white linen dress, $76. The dress is also available through their Etsy account here.
The sleeveless dress is 100% European flax, a high quality linen that is described as a medium weight stone washed softened fabric. It has two side pockets and a coconut button closure in the back. Perfect for hot summer months.
MagicLinen shared their excitement over Meghan wearing their dress on Instagram.
The dress is also available in a light pink color, $76.
It appears Meghan may have worn a pair of Chanel ballerina flats with the dress. We know she has favored the brand in the past.
The flats are beige with a black toe cap in leather, $750 and do not appear to be available online anymore. I believe these are from a past line, possibly their 2019 Cruise line or even A/W 2019. Nordstrom had carried them in the Fall of 2018. You can try second hand sites such as eBay or Poshmark to try and find a pair.
These are good alternatives: (Clockwise R-L) Banana Republic, ‘Robin’ ballet flat, $52; Nine West ‘Synthia’ flats, $32; Aerosoles ‘Outrun’ flats, $70; Sam Edelman ‘Mage’ flats, $60.
Finally, Meghan wore this hat by Janessa Leoné — the ‘Sammy’ hat, $265.
The hat is described as “A timeless boater silhouette with downturned brim in a lightweight woven straw with contrasting black suede ties.”
It’s possible Meghan also wore either her Linda Farrow oval sunglasses or her Mykita ‘Priscilla’ Sunglasses, $519. I’m leaning more towards her Linda Farrow pair from the bit of gold that appears brightly under the brim of her hat. However, she could be wearing a new pair all together as we know sunglasses are one of the Duchess’ favorite accessories!
Meghan wearing the Linda Farrow sunglasses in August 2018 at the wedding of Charlie Van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks.
Wimbledon 2016 wearing the Mykita ‘Pricsilla’ sunglasses.
She also had on a black cross-body bag and what appears to be a gold watch, however no details could be seen in any photos.
Check back for updates to this post should any further information come up on what the Duchess was wearing.
NOTE: Photos of Meghan were limited. If you would like to see the actual photos of her and Harry, you can always try searching Google for recent images. Thanks, SC

I do think Meghan’s dress has been altered in length. On the model, the center hemline length on the front is below the knee, I estimate this model is 5 ft 9 inches, we know Meghan is petite so on her the front hem line would be mid-high calf. Meghan’s dress is above the knee so some length has been taken off to better fit her proportions.

When I first saw the model shots I thought this was quite a shapeless dress. Yet somehow, on Meghan it looks amazing! Perhaps the strap of the crossbody bag keeps the dress from billowing out too much and instead helps it retain some shape. The whole look is very summey, with the gold accessories and hat. Meghan always looks stunning in white.

What a perfect, summery, breezy dress! I personally dislike linen because it wrinkles so easily which is why I won’t wear it but this dress is definitely part of Meghan’s “go-tos.” It’s very similar looking to the green dress she wore when Archie was a baby at Harry’s polo match. It has a “sack” like boho look to it too. Love the wide brimmed hat too. She looks like she’s on some Caribbean getaway/cruise and while that might not be possible for a long time, there’s no harm in dressing like it.
Harry has clearly embraced the American Dad look in his downtime!

I love linen- but not how it wrinkles and creases. In a way, it makes me feel better to see that Meghan herself has a few creases in her dress, but still looks polished and lovely. I love this white dress with the straw hat- such a crisp, cool minimalist look for a summer day. I’d trade the Chanel flats for cute sandals (they seem like the wrong color and “feel”) but I think Meghan looks great!

I know this might be taking things to far, but has anyone considered the fact that the watch Meghan is wearing might be the one that used to belong to Diana? As far as I know, Harry got it in exchange for Catherine’s engagement ring. The colour and shape look like this could be possible, and it would make sense for her to be wearing it.

Hi Katerina, That’s a really good suggestion and point. I’ll have to take a closer look at Diana’s and update with some of that info. Thanks! Susan C.

Susan, I think Katerina’s right! Please take a look at the amazing Ayvee’s site, Diana’s Jewels. She’s posted some good shots of Diana wearing her gold Cartier tank watch.
The paparazzi photos of Meghan are far too grainy to get clear details, but I think this hypothesis has legs!

I will add this to an upcoming post – but I have been thinking the same thing. Thank you ladies!!! Susan C

It looks like she might have received Diana’s gold Cartier tank!
Lauren says
WOW. I think you may be right! Meghan has her own stainless steel Cartier tank watch, but the one she’s worn in these photographs has all the glint of gold. At first, I thought that it was possible that her silver-toned watch picked up golden light reflected from her dress, but I looked closer. Nope. That watch is definitely warm-toned.
Remember that after Diana died, both William and Harry chose items of her jewelry to remember her by–William selected the Cartier tank watch, and Harry picked out the sapphire engagement ring. The brothers swapped their mementos before William proposed to Kate. 🙂

I don’t even like dresses but I LOVE how comfortable this looks, especially right now when we’re looking at temps at 100°F in NC this week. Linen can be tricky though. I prefer a linen blend so wrinkles aren’t a problem because I hate ironing clothes, but man I love this dress. That hat is cute. I’m not a hat person either, but I like it with the dress. If I wore this ensemble I’d wear my Birkenstocks. I’m now trying to justify spending $76+ on a dress. Lol.

Thanks for the post. Wish you hadn’t cut off Meghan’s face tho, I understand why for legal purposes you may need to. I love white linen in summer, as a matter of fact I am wearing a white linen wide leg pants with a white linen loose fitting pop over top this very minute. I would love to top my outfit with Meghan’s straw hat. I think your shoe alternatives to Meg’s Channel shoes are very nice. I am looking forward to Meghan’s girls up engagement. Nice look on Meghan for a hot day out.

Hi Jackie – I debated using the full photo of Meghan in the post but felt with the face mask and sunglasses it was probably better to show the dress as comparison. I didn’t mean to be disrespectful or anything towards Meghan. Sometimes it’s just a hard decision to make while writing a post with certain photos. Thanks for being understanding. – Susan C

Easy, breezy and summery chic!
Such an effortless and lovely look. I like how the slightly formal flats ground this simple linen dress. And her hat is as practical as it is pretty.
Fantastic from head to toe! Such a treat to see Meghan out and about again.
