Meghan and Harry made a surprise appearance at Spotify’s virtual “Stream On” event this morning in support of their podcast, Archewell Audio, a Spotify exclusive.
For the occasion, Meghan wore Oscar de la Renta’s sleeveless Citrus Primavera peplum hem dress, her hair down in loose waves and sporting a smoky eye. The couple appears to be in the sitting room of their Montecito home, as evidenced by the ever-present blanket rack behind them and the cream sofa on which they are sitting.
The Stream On event was an opportunity for Spotify “to share the latest on the state of global audio streaming and the company’s commitment to empowering creators around the world,” the company said.
In the clip, Meghan and Harry both spoke about their Archewell Audio podcast.
We’re using podcasting to drive powerful conversations that inspire, challenge and educate.”
The Duchess continued —
We created Archewell Audio to make sure that we can elevate voices that maybe aren’t being heard and hear people’s stories.”
Harry added —
And the biggest part of this is to create this community where you can share, that will encourage everybody else to then share their own vulnerabilities within that safe space.”

This appearance comes after news that Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Foundation is providing aid to the Genesis Women’s Shelter & Support in Dallas, an organization which provides services to women and families who have experienced domestic violence. The damage caused by the record-breaking cold temperatures and electrical outages that Texas has faced the last ten days, due to Winter Storm Uri, forced the shelter to close down for the first time in 35 years. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex supported the shelter by replacing the roof at Genesis’ transitional apartment complex, helping the shelter meet its immediate needs to get back on its feet.
“Not only will this gift provide for our critical needs, it shines an international spotlight on violence against women and children, letting survivors know that they are not alone,” said Jan Langbein, Genesis’ CEO.

Now a look at what Meghan wore for today’s appearance.
Meghan wore a dress by Oscar de la Renta, the Citrus Primavera Peplum Hem Dress, $3,490, from the Spring 2021 collection.
The silk blend dress is described as a 60s-insprired shift dress with “a signature lemon motif which adds a Botticelli-inspired quality”. A dramatic flounce hem adds the perfect finish.
A close up look at the lemon applique details on the dress —
The Citrus Primavera lemon motif is available in a variety of styles from the designer.

A big thank you to Susan Kelley of What Kate Wore on the dress ID!
UPDATE: We’ve had a request for alternative style ‘lemon’ dresses at lower price points. Here are a few that we found — Lulu’s Lemon Print Dress, $52 / MELLODAY Midi Dress, $29 / Sam Edelman Smocked Midi Dress, $49 / Kate Spade dress, $59
We haven’t been able to confirm the jewelry Meghan is wearing. It appears in some clips from the video that she may be wearing her 18K yellow gold Cartier Tank Francaise watch which once belonged to Princess Diana (more in our post here).
She most likely is also wearing her Cartier ‘Love’ bangle bracelet in gold and Monica Vinader Linear Friendship Bracelet in gold, $175. She has worn the two bracelets often together with the gold watch.
Meghan is also wearing a ring on her right hand, middle finger. While we can’t see the exact details of the ring it could be her Ecksand Cirque Ruby Cocktail Ring in 18K gold with diamonds (CDN $2135, roughly USD $1600 USD). She first wore the ring for the Endeavour Awards in February 2019.
Watch for an upcoming post on how to get Meghan’s manicured nails and information on nail polish brands the Duchess has worn.
We hope that, now that Meghan has officially announced her second pregnancy, we will see more of her in the coming months.

This is a pretty enough dress, but it has too much of a summer vibe to be considered even remotely appropriate for a February event. I feel like it misses the mark on more aspects than this one though. The colour looks very bland on her. I believe she looks best in rich colours (my favourite one of all her looks is the yellow BM), but she keeps avoiding them. The leaf detail on the neck seems a bit redundant, but it could work. There is too much going on however and too much hair on display and they all seem to be hiding her. The lighting doesn’t help either as everything on her seems to be too dark.
I agree with a previous comment, why doesn’t she want to wear maternity clothes? The explanation that the dress may not be owned by her doesn’t seem convincing: she wore no maternity clothes back when she did own all of her clothes. I am still hoping for a cute baby bump photo on a dress that isn’t ridiculously tight around it (maybe a look like the DoC’s white McQueen in Sweden)!

Hi Katerina, While the dress does have a Summer-like feel to it, in California the temps have been in the 70s most days. It’s also common to start seeing S/S collection pieces worn in February and March — at least to me it’s just common to see. For the pregnancy announcement photo, she was wearing a Carolina Herrera long flowing dress. Now that one I would love to see other photos of.
Meghan has worn maternity clothes when she was pregnant with Archie. Not a lot but it was mixed in. The DoC wore several dresses and pieces that were not maternity dresses when she was pregnant as well (Topshop polka dot dress comes to mind). Kate seemed to wear more maternity pieces later in her pregnancies. Meghan seems to have a mix of some maternity, and some more loose fitting pieces. In my opinion, it’s just wanting to keep a smaller maternity wardrobe. I think if you can get away with it, wear as much “normal” clothing as possible to save on purchasing maternity pieces that you may not wear again. I know I would’ve done the same thing.
It should be noted that we’ve read in several articles that the Spotify clip was filmed prior to the couple’s pregnancy announcement. Unfortunately the lighting in the room wasn’t great and it was most likely filmed remotely. I would love to see her in the dress either outside or in better lighting. I do agree, I think jewel tones and brighter shades of blue look amazing on her and would love to see her wear more of those colors. – Susan C.

I’m not a ‘dress girl’ but this is really pretty and that color looks great on her! She seems to be adverse to wearing maternity clothes. I wish she would when she’s further along in her pregnancy because trying to make regular clothing fit on a pregnant body just doesn’t work. For anyone. There has to be (a) designers who make maternity clothes that are flattering and tasteful. You would think so anyway.
I’m so thankful Archwell is involved in helping the women’s shelter and I look forward to seeing what they do moving forward.

A follower pointed out that the dress may have been loaned to her by a stylist as that’s how it usually works in LA. I had forgotten about this “practice” in LA for celebs. Another example would be the site “Rent the Runway” – where you can actually rent a dress to wear for a special occasion. thanks, Susan C.

Interesting idea with Rent the Runway. Thanks for the info. And I haven’t followed celebrities in so long I forgot designers loan clothing to them, especially for red carpet events for the exposure.

Bravo on all levels! ???

So true.
