We have our first preview of Meghan and Harry’s interview with Oprah!
In the (far too short!) 30-second clip, Oprah asks Meghan “Were you silent, or were you silenced?”
Below a clip from CBS Twitter —
Sitting outside with her hair up, Meghan is wearing Giorgio Armani’s long triple silk georgette dress and jewelry from Pippa Small, a designer she’s favored in the past.
The clip goes on to say that no subject is off limits, and Oprah says their former life was “almost un-survivable” before showing Harry, holding hands with Meghan, saying “my biggest concern was history repeating itself,” presumably talking about his mother Diana’s 1997 death.
The full interview will air next Sunday, March 7 at 8 p.m. Eastern and, according to CBS, will feature Oprah speaking one-on-one with Meghan, and then Harry joining the conversation, expected to cover everything from their marriage and son Archie to life in L.A. and their philanthropic work. Stay tuned!
Now a look at what Meghan wore for the interview.

UPDATE 3/2: The Duchess wore a dress from Giorgio Armani – the Long triple silk georgette dress,
$ 4,700. The dress is also available here and pre-order here.
UPDATE 3/1: It turns out the Armani dress, which features an embroidered lotus flower on the right-hand side, has a special meaning.
A Town & Country’s article pointed out that the lotus flower is associated with rebirth and spiritual enlightenment. Their piece highlighted the resilience of the flower and its ability to flourish despite seemingly challenging conditions. More from Town & Country below.
“With its roots latched in mud, it submerges every night into river water and miraculously re-blooms the next morning, sparklingly clean. In many cultures, this process associates the flower with rebirth and spiritual enlightenment.” The piece continues: “With such refusal to accept defeat, it’s almost impossible not to associate this flower with unwavering faith. Although cultures have largely dubbed the lotus as a spiritual figurehead, it is most emblematic of the faith within ourselves.”
EDIT: Meghan’s shoes appear to be the Aquazzura Purist Pump in the 105 mm heel, $695. The shoes are also available on FarFetch in the dark blue, $626, here. We did not see the Purist 105 mm heel pumps in black on the brand’s site, we did however find them in the 85 mm heel, $572 here and also on the brand’s site, $695 here. Apologies for any confusion. We’re thinking Meghan wore the higher heel, 105 mm, in the Purist style.
Thanks to Meghan’s Mirror for the ID information.
Her necklace is a piece we’ve seen before from Pippa Small, the Aquamarine Colette Necklace ($1680). Meghan first wore the necklace while in Tonga for their 2018 Tour.
Meghan is wearing her Birks Bee Chic Blue Topaz Sterling Silver earrings.
Meghan wore the earrings in July 2018 for the Sentebale Polo Cup.
It appears that Meghan may be wearing a diamond tennis bracelet which is believed to have belonged to Princess Diana. We first saw her wear the bracelet in Tonga, October 2018, for the formal dinner reception.

She also wore her Cartier ‘Love’ bracelet and one other bracelet that remains unidentified.
Thanks to Laura Ashworth for spotting the bracelets.
UPDATE 3/16: We have an update on the third bracelet Meghan wore during the interview. It appears that the third bracelet Meghan wore may be a smaller diamond tennis bracelet in yellow gold. One of our WMW followers suggested that Meghan may possibly be wearing this Jennifer Meyer Mini Bezel Tennis Bracelet in yellow gold, $3000.
Below are some RepliMeg options for the bracelet.
(l-r) Zoe Lev yellow gold bead bracelet, starting at $65 for the 3mm and $75 for the 4mm, Mejuri yellow gold bracelet, $295, Amazon, $11, Amazon – stacking gold bead bracelets, $33.

UPDATE 3/1: In other news, the Archewell site has been updated. Per a tweet from Huffington Posts’ Carly Ledbetter, the site now lists over 20 “real acts of compassion” in support of both #InternationalWomensDay (March 8) and #WomensHistoryMonth. Options include donations, acts of service, expressing support & much more.
A spokesperson confirmed the couple will be engaging in many of the actions themselves throughout March.

The interview was wrenching. As it began, I was actually thinking that there were a few moments (I won’t detail them) that might have been ill-judged, but as she and Harry continued to tell their story, I realized how unimportant those things were in the larger scheme of things. While acknowledging that there is more than one side to every story, they have clearly been through the ringer, and I have nothing but empathy and respect for them in trying to build a life that they can live with in a way that’s best for them.
There was actually a fashion moment in the interview that struck me right to the core: it was when Meghan spoke about how she told Harry “I don’t want to live anymore,” and then later that night they had to go to an event at the Royal Albert Hall. That was the night she wore the sparkling midnight blue Roland Mouret and just looked incredibly beautiful–all glowing skin and red lips and sleek dark hair. And I came here on this site to marvel at her look without ever noticing what she talked about in the interview–that she and Harry were gripping each others’ hands so tightly you could see their white knuckles, and that she was wiping away tears while sitting in the box. If you look at the pictures now, you can see that by the end of the event she actually had worried away all that bright lipstick. It just broke my heart. I’ve never thought of her, or any celebrity, as just a thing and not a person, but it made me realize how easy it is to be dazzled by an image and not think about what goes into creating that image, emotionally and psychologically.

Hi Jessica – well said. We are getting ready to do our post about the interview today. I think we’re all looking at the Royal Albert Hall event and that dress from a new perspective. – SC

I think the earrings might be her emerald cut diamonds. If not the emeralds cuts with the black surround would have made a dramatic statement.
The necklace was a miss for me, light milky blue doesn’t seem like the right pairing for this dress. That necklace has a more causal beach vibe which doesn’t match her structured dress.
I’m surprised her hair was pulled back, I love the length she has now. She seems to fav pulled back styles with pregnancy.
Love those eyes and inner rim liner, I recall seeing her do this before, it’s very effective for an intense expression.

I agree with your thoughts on the earrings. The image does not look like the Birks Bees earrings, and the diamond earrings would have been good. The necklace is so mismatched, so I assume it is a personal choice rather than a fashion choice. The dress is just wonderful and she looks, as always, so beautiful! I still wish she would someday wear her wedding reception earrings/bracelet. However, I like that she’s wearing Diana’s jewelry, perhaps to remind everyone that she IS Harry’s wife, and Harry is one of Diana’s two children.

Hi, after seeing the interview last night, in a few of the clips, we could see that they are indeed her Birks Bee Chic earrings in the aquamarine. Also, we’re thinking Meghan was also wearing the bracelet that Charles had gifted her in 2018 – which she wore to the garden party shortly after their wedding. Thanks, SC
Kim says
She also might be wearing it back because of COVID and following advice to socially-distance–ie, no haircuts!

She looks beautiful. I wish we could see her standing up in the dress. Her makeup and hair are lovely.

We may get a glimpse of her standing up in the dress during the interview. Tune in Sunday night to see! – SC
