Today The Duke and Duchess of Sussex officially launched their new Archewell site as part of their Archewell Foundation.
The homepage includes an introduction letter from both Harry and Meghan with a photo of Harry, as a young boy, with his mother, Diana and one of Meghan, as a young girl, with her mother, Doria Ragland.

The site’s mission is also included as well.
Archewell, through its non-profit work as well as creative activations, drives systemic cultural change across all communities.
From Archewell Foundation’s about page —
Archewell Foundation is an impact-driven non-profit created by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Our core purpose is to uplift and unite communities—local and global, online and offline—one act of compassion at a time. We believe that compassion is the defining cultural force of the 21st century, and through the work of our 501(c)(3), we support a growing community of partner organizations fueling systemic cultural change. At Archewell Foundation, we listen to people and their communities, help them tell their stories, put real action behind our words, and spotlight a new generation of leadership.
Archewell has shared five of the foundation’s projects and partnerships which include;
The Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE) at Stanford Medicine with Dr. James R. Doty.
CCARE was founded in 2008 with the explicit goal of promoting, supporting, and conducting rigorous scientific studies of compassion and altruistic behavior.
The Center for Humane Technology, led by former Google Design Ethicist Tristan Harris, is dedicated to radically reimagining our digital infrastructure.
The foundation has actively worked with Tristan and his team to create the conditions for safer, more compassionate online communities.
We were first introduced to Mr. Harris this past October during the Time100 Talks shown below with Safiya U. Noble, Author and Co-Director, UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry.
The Loveland Foundation is a growing organization that focuses on providing affordable and accessible mental health resources to Black women and girls.
From the site’s about page —
The Loveland Foundation was established in 2018 by Rachel Cargle in response to her widely successful birthday wish fundraiser, Therapy for Black Women and Girls. Her enthusiastic social media community raised over $250,000, which made it possible for Black women and girls nationally to receive therapy support. Black women and girls deserve access to healing, and that healing will impact generations.
UCLA’s Center for Critical Internet Inquiry is an interdisciplinary research center committed to reimagining technology, championing racial and economic justice in the tech sector, and strengthening democracy through culture-making and public policy work. C2i2 is also home to the Minderoo Initiative on Technology and Power, an initiative that investigates the social impact of digital technologies on the broader public good.
Archewell Foundation Fund is being established for the UCLA Center for Critical Internet Inquiry, under the shared leadership of acclaimed researchers, professors, and authors Dr. Safiya Noble and Dr. Sarah T. Roberts. The Fund will support the goals and overall mission of C2i2: reimagining technology, championing racial and economic justice in the tech sector, and strengthening democracy through culture-making and public policy work.

Archewell Foundation’s most recent announcement includes a partnership with Chef José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen. The foundation will be providing the financial commitment for World Central Kitchen to build four Community Relief Centers in regions disproportionately impacted by hunger, starting in the Commonwealth country of Dominica, and Puerto Rico. The couple plan to visit the sites sometime in the future.
The centers will act as emergency service kitchens during times of high-need or disaster, and as food distribution hubs, schools, clinics, or safe community gathering zones during non-disaster times.

A brief overview of Archewell Productions is included on the site. The partnership with Netflix, announced back in September, will include programming produced by the couple that informs, elevates, and inspires.

I love the website rollout and the causes they are supporting (and no doubt will add to Archewell as time goes on). I haven’t listened to the holiday episode of their new podcast yet but I heard the clip with Archie speaking which was so cute. The baby pictures with their moms are precious. Harry looks very similar to Archie and Meghan looks like she has a lot of personality as a toddler!
